We visited for the first time this evening. We had 7 in our party, our server was Carrie (sp?), who was awesome. The food was good, portions were big, but Carrie was the perfect person for our family and my brothers sense of humor; she was great and is great at her job. Great service and the owner is right there visiting with customers and helping the staff. My wife had the fish special and I had a country fried steak breakfast. We are good eaters and still took home two boxes of food. Very affordable and the home like atmosphere is fantastic.

I’ve eaten here since I was a kid. It still holds up. The bean soup is great, I love their chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes and gravy. The service is good and lots of cool old photos of the area adorn the walls.

Way to expensive. Offered hot cocoa with a kid meal and didn’t happen to mention they were $4.50 each. $62 dollars for simple food. Woman was rude when I paid and wanted to know why it was so much money. 1000000% not worth that money. Will not be back

I like this place a lot. The food is always great, the one waitress is beautiful and sweet. But today, 8/13/23 at around 11:00, I am unfortunately sitting near a table of very ignorant and incompetent parents and their screaming, mal-parented kids, one of which screamed relentlessly and unparented for 30 minutes straight. Everybody in the restaurant is bothered by them. Parents…. Really….if you can’t parent properly, don’t grace the public with the presence of your under-tended kids. While you’re obliviously filling your faces, everyone else is gulping down their food and getting ulcers.

Food was unseasoned and chicken was pink. The atmosphere of this place is insanely unwelcoming and awkward, especially if you’re an outsider. People have staring problems here too, so be aware of that. But the service was no doubt the worst part of this whole experience. Two of the servers got mad at my table for ordering a side of pickles, and as soon as they left the table, they started talking bad about us thinking that we wouldn’t hear. Two grown women should know better than to loudly talk about people when they’re sitting 3 tables away from them 🙂

Stopped by for lunch with some co-workers who live in the area. Great little “greasy spoon” restaurant with a locals feel. Breakfast served all day! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Big portions and friendly service.
