Small eatery inside the martket place, but it was probably the busiest when we went at about 4:15 on a Saturday. We ordered for 5 and the food took a little longer than I would have thought (30 minutes) with about 3 people ahead of us. Other than that, the menu is pretty basic. I had the Vegan “kick” option. My son had the OG Flame and overall their “hotness” rating was pretty accurate. The only think I would have liked is to be able to get extra chili sauce if you wanted a spiciness between the kick and the flame. They offer that for an extra charge, which I don’t think is right since the bowls themselves are all equally priced.

Tasty ramen! Their pork Chashu are really amazing. I don’t think the spicy ramen is that spicy though. The staff were super cool. However, the food took slightly longer than we thought.

A little too salty to me. Really needed to down water after. I also couldn’t tell the difference between the spicy ramen and the curry ramen

Staff is a 5/5! They were all super helpful and so friendly! The food is a 4/5 for my personal tastes. I like noodles with more chew to them and the noodles in “The Kick” were definitely soft- almost melt in your mouth soft. We ordered a deluxe and the eggs was *chef’s kiss* perfect! Broth was packed full of flavor! I ended up dipping everything, even things from other vendors, in the broth! We also got the chicken karaage curry rice bowl. I like more “gravy” with my curry so I was expecting more of a gravy vs a sauce drizzle. The chicken was delicious, had a sweet/salty thing going for it. We also had an order of gyoza but my daughter ate it all before I could try it, so I’m guessing it was delicious since the picky 8year old didn’t want to share. I wish Portland wasn’t 2hrs away so I could go back and try more options!

Pretty great resturant! I got the takoyaki and the chicken Karaage Bowl. Both were good! The takoyaki had pickled ginger on it which was different but good. The karaage bowl was a little spicy but it was very good. It was missing the ramen egg which I was a little sad about. I would order for here again for sure!

Absolutely awesome. I got the curry ramen (with pork) & the Brussels sprouts (med. spice) for lunch today, and both were ON POINT. The Pine Street Market overall was spacious and clean. Would absolutely be returning if I weren’t just here for the weekend.

We knew this place as Marukin Ramen before the pandemic and finally had the chance to try this place. We were not disappointed! Fantastic spicy ramen. I had the Kick and hubby had the Flame. Mine was the perfect amount of spice, while his was about 1.5x spicier. We both loved it. The broth rich and flavorful without being too salty or “porky”, and the pork was an ample portion and grilled nicely. There was a delightful ground curried pork on mine. Don’t sleep on this place!

Thank y’all for having a solid ramen. My partner and I were craving ramen last night and tried afuri for the first time. We were so disappointed and let down we had to have a ramen redo tonight. Kotsu satisfied our cravings and made up for last night. So good !
