I stumbled across this place on accident and boy am I glad I did. Upon entering, it was quite busy and I see why now. The hospitality of the staff were so warm and welcoming. It was my first time there so the lady at the front (who seems like the owner) let me sample some dishes before making my decision. The pasta is freaking amazing and the jerk chicken reminded me of my college days with my Jamaican roommate. I got the oxtail and it was DELICIOUS. My gosh. I’ll definitely be back more often. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

I’ve been in a mood for ox tail for a long time and was having a hard time finding a good Jamaican restaurant to fit my need until I found this place. It’s a small restaurant but I can tell they stay busy because of quality of food. I ordered oxtail rice beans and cabbage and my girlfriend decided to try the curry chicken. Our food was very flavorful and we enjoyed every bite, definitely suggest to people who want some good Jamaican food!

I spent $30 and ordered shrimp Rasta pasta. And soup where the dumplings were not even done !!!There was no sauce on here as you can see very tiny amount. The shrimp was entirely over cooked to the point. It was like chewing on a rubber band so I couldn’t eat the food when I called the manager said all I can say is my bad .I said what happened ?He said when you ordered the cooks change shifts and you got what was left over….. I continue to ask him. How does that make sense how would you let a customer pay $30 for the food if you knew that the quality wasn’t good because of the cooks changing the shifts why serve this !! Poor customer service.

No greeting when we walked in, despite the facility not being busy. Once we interacted with the young lady, she was amicable. This was our first time in the area and first time at Kool Runnings. We got curried chicken, stewed chicken, jerk chicken, and two patties. Everything was delicious and portions were too our liking. All three chicken dishes were delicious! The rice and peas were delicious, the cabbage was perfect, greens perfectly cooked. The patties were hot and delectable, but the beef was our favorite! We will return when in the area.

Went here yesterday because I was craving Jamaican food. What a mistake! I ordered the jerk chicken lunch for myself and brown stew chicken for my daughter. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese and plantains. Immediately after eating it we both became sick. The rice was soggy. I don’t know if the food was left out. If the kitchen isn’t cleaned, cross contamination or what. I have never been sick instantly after eating food and it was both of us. Will never eat there again

Ordered delivery on UberEats and it was so worth it. Prices a bit higher than the average Caribbean/Jamaican restaurant but the food was sooo good. I reheated the pasta and half of the salmon the following day and it was even more delicious. I also ordered coco bread and I’d give it a 3/5. I’ll definitely be ordered again. Give it a try.

I haven’t been here for a few years and needless to say I was totally disappointed. I was so hyped to go get food here but it was such letdown. The food wasn’t good at all. I had placed an order over the phone at 12 o’clock and I told them I’ll pick it up around 1:30-2. The food was sitting there from the time I ordered it at 12 o’clock. I had to ask them to please warm it but I didn’t like the response although they warmed it. Unfortunately I won’t be going back there again.
