I. Am. In. LOVE!!! I’m a food snob. I’ve never denied that. But when it comes to the best sushi I have experienced since I left the island of Oahu in Hawaii, THIS is the place. Raised in Charleston, SC, moved to San Diego, CA, then to beautiful, sunny HI for many years, I have had some of the freshest, most amazing seafood, sushi and sashimi you could possibly imagine. NO PLACE NEAR SPARTANBURG comes close to the quality I get to experience each time I dine here. I haven’t tried the BILLING SPRINGS location, but the DOWNTOWN SPARTANBURG location is the only place you need to know about! These guys are so meticulous about the ingredients and the preparation of the gorgeous displays of fresh fish, crustaceans, and various other menu items they serve. They service is impeccable and attentive. I truly cannot say enough about Konichiwa!!!!! Come out and see for yourself what I’m telling you!!!

The service here is seriously lacking. There appears to be not system in place or any kind of hierarchy. It’s literally a free for all. There servers are also bussing tables & doing so with dirty rags. I watched one girl wipe a table off and fling left over bits onto the floor. The health department is going to have a field day here. The food is good but heavy on fillers. The presentation of the rolls is nice but the atmosphere is poor because they’re trying to squeeze too many tables in. I had high hopes for this place. The price, service & overall feel just brings it down. This would be 1 star if it wasn’t for the sushi chefs being nice & doing a good job.

Love this place! They’re very meticulous with the sushi and the presentation is amazing! Of course, the sushi is delicious. We got the Floridian, comfy, and the atomic bomb rolls. I would recommend all of them. Delicious!
