We got the BBQ chicken and BBQ beef. Both were excellent. The rice was perfect. We ate inside and were charged for a to go bag $.10 and we gave the bag back and got a dime back too! It’s the little things that count. I recommend the katsu sauce was best on the chicken and the teriyaki on the beef. Enjoy!

Exceeded my expectations, in taste, service, quality, experience. Will return. I had the fire chicken, not to spicy, just right. Make sure you put some of their sauce on the rice. I’ve also tried the Mitsubis and I’m a huge fan. Very nice value with everything else getting so expensive. It’s nice to find a place to hang out that has great food at a good price with great service.

First time eating here. I was surprised! The food tasted great! We had Kalbi Short ribs and Aloha pick 2 items. The Mac salad was on point.The kalbi short ribs are really tender, tasty and juicy. The white fish and crispy shrimp are crunchy,moist,tasty with sauce . Overall, I was super happy with the experience here and I will be back try other dishes on the menu!! Nice place!

We found this spot online and we ran over there as fast as we could. We love Hawaiian BBQ and this spot hit the spot. I got the Kalua pork (too dry and salty) and chicken katsu (fried perfect). My lady got a mix of chicken teriyaki (delicious), beef (super marinated) and katsu. We also ordered extra mac salad which I would always recommend. Overall, would recommend and would definitely go back.

I had a pleasant experience here today at lunch and I only give it 4 stars because the macaroni salad (didn’t have much flavor and was straight mayonnaise) and yes, I’ve had Hawaiian Mac salad plenty of times. The fire chicken and teriyaki chicken were delicious and the service was friendly and fast. I will definitely come back another day.

I had a great experience here. The staff was awesome and very helpful, service was fast and good was great. My wife clearly won with her teriyaki chicken, it was incredibly delicious and cooked to perfection. I has the shrimp and fish meal, the food itself was good but if it had a smaller amount of batter it would’ve worked alot better. Small but had to mention it. I’d try it again most definitely though to see what else they got.

Big fan of Hawaiian food, and this place nailed it! The only other Hawaiian food that I’ve had that’s pretty good is L&L but this Kona place is nowhere near as busy and doesn’t take as long to get served. Every square inch is super clean, the food is delicious, nothing is greasy or oily, perfect portions, everything is made very well, AND they have great service. If you like Hawaiian food you will be elated to have this spot nearby or check it out when passing through. The chicken katsu (I liked that better than the BBQ chicken) and the mac salad is outstanding. I really love a good portion of cabbage that’s not over cooked, too. Way to knock it out of the park, Kona! Their katsu sauce is perfection. 5 out of 5 stars for sure, will be back many times!! Don’t change a thing.

I have been here many times since they opened. I’m a chicken katsu guy and it has been good everytime I bought it. This time I tried chicken combo. Bbq chicken also very delicious. My friend ordered chicken and beef combo, He loved it! Chicken katsu with katsu sauce is better!
