Overall, Kojima’s was decent. We got the spicy edamame, Kojimas roll, and one of the rolls on special… it was the shrimp tempura roll with other things on top. I forgot to take pictures when the food arrived, but caught a few while we were eating. The edamame and shrimp roll were really good… and I don’t usually like rolls with tempura. The Kojimas roll was not very good. The whole thing was mushy… no balance in texture. And all we could taste was the jalapeño on top. We both like VERY spicy food, but spice has to be balance… this was not.

The food was AMAZING! We had 4 rolls and 3 orders of nigiri. My husband and I could not decide what was our favorite! Everything was so fresh and delicious. The restaurant is so cute and the scenery is beautiful.

Delicious Japanese food. I ordered katsu, my wife got Miso butterfish. We haven’t tried their sushi. The katsu was a good size, but I felt that the Miso butterfish was too small for the price paid. Both dishes tasted great. I would like to come back and try the sushi. I would like to see a few more ramen choices and another teriyaki dish, but it is a sushi restaurant after all. But during covid, we only take out. Sushi isn’t a great take-out experience, no matter where.

Terrible service for what would have been a decent all around experience. The waitress didn’t know her basic Rolls. We were told their version of the California didn’t have avocado when in fact it did, and we didn’t see our waitress since she took our initial order. This was our first time going here and it will be our last for quite a while.

I don’t know how to rate a place that has the best sushi I’ve had in Maui, but still didn’t hold up to my normal standards. The fish was a bit pungent (as it normally is in Hawaii) & i didn’t like the uni at all–it’s usually my favorite. I had to mask all my bites with soy/wasabi which is the bar i set that defines amazing sushi (it tastes amazing by itself.) The atmosphere & service was superb.
