The chicken tempura was good, the spicy udon was super spicy, and the umi udon was super unique and really creamy. I’m not sure I would go back but I’m glad we tried it!

My husband and I have been coming to Kochi for a few years and the food is always great. Yesterday we decided to splurge on lunch and got the sushi lunch set ($26). It was excellent! We were kind of stunned how good it was considering Kochi bills itself as a Udon restaurant. Completely worth it! We just love this place.

Came here for dinner as I was craving udon, and I wasn’t disappointed. I got the kakiage udon, which came with a veggie tempura block. We also got the crispy spicy tuna roll, which was very tasty with good texture. All together it was a lot of food. The staff was friendly and all together it was a good experience, and I recommend it. One downside is street only parking so we had to park a few blocks away.

WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN- We did a walk-in at Kochi last night. We did not know what to expect, but it looked lively so we thought to try it. We all LOVED IT. The staff was so nice. The prices are very reasonable for the area. Most importantly the food was all delicious. We ordered for the tables: edamame, miso soup, shoshito peppers, marinated black cod, spicy tuna Cripsy rice, cucumber salad, spicy tuna hand roll, uni cream udon, veggie tempura, albacore special sashimi, and the Jalapeño yellowtail sashimi. We can not wait to go back again and focus on the hand-roll menu. Great spot!

From start to finish we were Udon replenished. What a gem. We started with the cucumber salad that was fresh, the minute I had the first bite I knew we were in for a treat. Next up handroll and yuppppp it’s good!

Uni Cream Udon was a little bit of a splurge compared to the other cheaper menu items but DEFINITELY worth it! So good! Having that with some hand rolls made for a perfect dinner. Smaller restaurant, more on the casual side, but still a nice interior.

This was surprisingly good. Looks a little unassuming from the outside but I had a rice dish with crispy chicken and it was delicious. You do have to go through the kitchen to use the restroom. I wasn’t too impressed with the hygiene of the kitchen and the toilet smelled.

One of the most “meh, whatever” restaurants I’ve ever been to … they have a limited sushi menu, and what they serve they serve “meh, ok” at best. Server couldn’t tell me the difference between a small beer and large, nor was he all that attentive in a not busy, small restaurant. Just an overall “meh, whatever” experience.

Tastes like eating in Japan! Home cooking style restaurant specializing in Udon noodles done in broth and many other variations like Uni Cream Sauce! Tasty nourishing dishes, very good happy hour. Japanese craft beer, sake, wine, cooked bowls and teriyaki and sashimi and rolls. Everything you need to feel well nourished. Nice mellow and attentive staff. Wish I lived in the neighborhood.

This place has traditional Japanese cuisine. Great udon, delicious handrolls and the staff is beyond friendly. Great place for some drinks and good food. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
