Kobuta & Ookami is such a vibe! Delicious crispy Katsu with so many varieties. Delicious sake which the staff will help you find the perfect one. The atmosphere is very laid back. A great place to bring friends, family, or just go by yourself for an amazing meal!!!

This is a quite unique place for getting all kinds of “Katsu” dishes. The food is incredibly good, makes you feel you are in Japan, given the taste and quality of the food. The place itself has a great vibe! The service is also great with friendly people. The only thing I would say they should drop is the rule of not seating a party when not everyone is there, which is a ridiculous rule when you can rarely park around, so it is almost guaranteed to always have someone spending a few minutes trying to park nearby. At least if you have the full party minus one should be fine to be seated. It does degrade an otherwise great experience.

After reading other reviews, I decided to show up at 4:30PM and saw that there were others waiting in their cars for the dinner opening.

This is the fanciest way I’ve ever eaten katsu. We’ve been wanting to go to the Capitol Hill location for over 2 years and it’s been always so full. We discovered this new place when we looking up dinner places after visiting the Redmond Town center.

As a visitor to Seattle, I was brought here and surprised with the lineup started at 11:30am on Sunday. Service was excellent it made me feel warm at heart from the beginning to the end. I was surprised with the attention to detail and warm attitude throughout the dining experience especially I had a bad one the day before at Potage B*y cafe.

There was a slight wait at 5:15 PM, even though the restaurant opens at 5:00 PM. It’s advisable to arrive early to avoid any wait. The server suggested trying the daily special, nanban, which was average in taste. However, my wife ordered their mozzarella donkatsu, which was significantly better than mine. Generally, the food experience was enjoyable. As the restaurant is newly opened, the cleanliness of the place was commendable.

Super delicious & authentic Japanese katsu with high-quality ingredients. The taste brought me back when I had Katsu in Japan. Was worried I may have to wait a while as the restaurant was quite busy, but we were seated in the bar area and it was great & fun even for my daughter. Two thumbs up!

Just as good as the Cap Hill location, if not better because it’s larger! I have been here a couple times now and everything I have tried has been good – the yuzu with radish, the katsu curry, and just the plain katsu with their tonkatsu sauce. I usually get the Iberico pork which is moist and tender, but I tried my friend’s lean pork (rosu? I forgot the name) and that was delicious as well. I wasn’t a fan of her tomato and cheese katsu, but like I said everything else I have tried has been great. The katsu curry is particularly unique because they put dark chocolate in it, which while sounds a bit questionable but gives it a slightly more complex flavor.

Definitely the best Katsu in Seattle and closest to authentic Katsu houses in Japan. We just came back from a trip to Tokyo and I was missing the Katsu we had there. Was elated to hear this place opened since the Capitol Hill location has been on my list for awhile so decided to give it a try asap.

The Hire Katsu was tender and tasty. If I had to make a request, I would prefer a crunchy texture for the Tsukemono (pickled veggies). I would like the rice to be served a little fluffier, not pushed to the bowl. The stuff was friendly and the decor was nice. I will go back again.
