We went to Kobe Japanese Grill after church and it was really good. I ordered hibachi steak and chicken and my wife ordered teriyaki chicken. We also ordered a side of egg rolls. The meals came with side salad. Everything was fresh and hot and the salad was cold and crispy. The only problem I had was my meal was prepared teriyaki style and not hibachi like I had ordered. I ate it anyway and didn’t complain to our server. Lastly, just like a lot of restaurants, Kobe has increased their prices. For two meals, a side of egg rolls and water our bill was $41 before tip. I will recommend Kobe as the service and food was great.

Kobe is a great choice for Asian cuisine if you don’t want to spend double the money at Wasabi. Also, where else can you eat Asian food and listen to country music haha. The egg rolls are probably the best in Knoxville, hands down. Dip them in pink sauce and boom – Heaven.

Gym Time
The girl(s) that take the orders on the phone is nice but she never gets the orders right. I have literally drove off and had to throw the food away and I’m tired of it and started taking it back in and having it redone. When you take it back in she says “Oh yeah” EVERY TIME. She has so much highlighter on she looks like Jacob from twilight when he’s in the sun! This place was better a few years ago. You need better training and listening to what the customers want. If you can’t do it leave so they can hire someone that can.

Kobe for a hot, fast, friendly dinner! Wait staff was super friendly and attentive. Restaurant lobby was clean and tidy. Poke bowl was both hot and spicy, great portions too! Went after 6:30 so dinner crowd had thinned out. Drive through option is available too!

My wife really likes Kobe and I do not dislike it. The food is food and the service is good. My biggest problem is the bang for the buck. Pricing is right up there with a nicer hibachi grill table restaurant but certainly does not have matching atmosphere.

The idea of Kobe is wonderful, the result is marginal at best… the meat is ALWAYS DRY and overcooked as it is prepared in mass amounts and stays on heat all day. The result is firm rubber like shrimp, dry chicken, and over cooked steak. For the price it’s disappointing.
