Knife Edge Brewing is a Maine Craft Brewery and wood fired pizzeria located between Katahdin Woods and Waters National monument and Baxter State Park. This place is a diamond in the rough! Literally. You may want to consider a high clearance vehicle to get here because it’s about a mile down a dirt road. But well worth the adventure. The atmosphere is great- a beautiful building that really plays to the Maine woods vibe, with live music every Friday. And a cute little gift shop. The pizza is superb (try the butternut!), I have had a lot of good pizza in my life, and this place definitely holds up. Don’t curb your expectation just because this place is in the middle of nowhere- can absolutely recommend Knifes Edge for anyone looking for great pizza in a beautiful indoor setting.

We felt welcomed from the moment we entered, to the explanation of seating, ordering of food and drink. The building is beautiful, the scenery breathtaking, and the food delicious. The beer was good, with a small array of choices.

Some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, and that’s coming from a NJ/NY native – we know pizza! Decent beer selection and super friendly staff too. Will definitely make this one of our regular stops when we’re upta camp for the summer!

We love the pizza, wings and my husband enjoys a good beer. The building is amazing and the view of Katahdin is always beautiful! We have tried all the different combinations of pizzas and we have enjoyed them all! The staff are always so friendly and helpful and the facility is so clean and neat! A wonderful addition to our area!

Absolutely fantastic pizza – especially the BBQ brisket and the butternut squash. Worth the hour drive we made for the pizza alone. They have a 700 degree wood fire oven that makes perfect crust and somehow isn’t heating the inside space too much. The atmosphere is lovely and beers are good. They have 4 of their own on tap (pale, brown, blonde, and ipa) and about 8 guests taps with other (mostly Maine) beers and a cider. Dogs allowed outside on the patio/lawn, though not a clear path to get there from the parking lot (we walked around the side through some large gravel, not a path) and bring your own water bowl. And while it’s on a dirt road, the road is in decent shape and we did find getting there in a heavy sedan – just drive slow and pay attention.

So glad this place opened, there’s nothing like it in the area and it is awesome. Definitely recommend stopping here for pizza and beer on your way out of the park or even if you’re just in the area. Staff is all super friendly; pizza is delicious and they have a great selection of beer.

In the middle of nowhere up a dirt road is some of the best pizza you’re going to eat in the entire state. The beer is solid as well. Also they have an array of facilities to accommodate the areas activities. I’ve never seen a brewery with a shower in the bathroom, but with all of the hiking and boating opportunities to earn a good sweat it seems like the perfect addition.

A great spot with delicious pizza, cozy vibes, and great games. In addition you could not ask for a friendlier staff. Came here not once but twice while staying in Millinocket this week.

We ordered a meat pizza with extra smoked cheese, which is pretty standard for us, and we agreed that this was one of the best pizzas we’d every had.

A great find with cold crisp beer and delicious pizza. The space is clean, bright and boasts great views. This was exactly what I was looking for after a long day of hiking.
