Definitely worth a stop off the beaten path. It is a amazing historical place with a quality fine dining experience. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. We were a large late table and they were very kind and hospitable. The kitchen did not slack off either being late. Everything was on point and delicious. Highly recommend and will return.

This place has the charm that makes one anticipate a really good homestyle country meal, but it seems that much of the food is prepared ahead of time and not made to order, which is disappointing. Maybe the lunch specials are a value, but not if it’s all made ahead of time. At least order a steak or hamburger from the menu. I don’t think they cook those ahead of time.

Walked in and sat at the bar. Dining room was half full while bar area was empty. Sat at the bar and waited for over 10 minutes and no one came to take my order. There were numerous people in the kitchen talking but no one came out to the bar. A bus boy type came to the bar to fill up a water pitcher and completely ignored me.

Update: No Butter! Found out they only have margerine. Soooo disappointed , as we are trying to eat clean food. We were sure this $125 dinner would include real butter.

We stopped here during our roadtrip in Texas for lunch. We had hamburgers and French fries. Best hamburger ever and the waitress was awesome. Highly recommended!!

A steakhouse with a casual touch. Food was prepared and brought out in a timely manner. Everything was made perfectly. Great service even with the large party they had come in along with the regular crowd. I had accidentally left my credit card there and they contacted me about 5 minutes after I left. Definitely worth going to and going back to.

Ordered a chicken sandwich no sides, chicken fromage and spinach dip to go. Over 50 dollars. Get home…chicken sandwich is tough with sinew or something. Spinach dip is refrigerated and ice cold. Called and told to microwave spinach di tto warm it up. So mcxh for small town hospitality. Will not go back.and we are locals. Offer to fix your mistake dont tell a customer to microwave your food.

I had the Culotte staak and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Also had soup, salad and garlic toast. A pineapple margarita, which was rimmed with tarjin and a slice of NY cheesecake topped it off. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. It was excellent.
