This little gem was a pleasant surprise. Overall the food was very good. The wings had a great flavor and were good size and moist. The sweet potato fries were fantastic, especially with the cinnamon butter they give you. The fried mushrooms were tasty as well.

We were camping at Cotton Hill Campground and went out to see Fort Gaines. This is apparently the only watering hole/restaurant in town. It was quite good. We had wings and the Southwestern Firecracker Rolls – very good! We had a local brew, Omaha Brewing’s Lager and it was tasty. Great service, personable staff and the next time we’re here, we’ll plan on dinner! Affordable.

Hubby ordered wings and onion rings I had the pulled pork sandwich and rings as well. The wings were well cooked but needed some extra sauce. ( we’re from NY and like sloppy buffalo wings) The lean pulled pork sandwich had great smoke and was tender and served on a brioche bun. Both their regular and moonshine bbq sauces were great. The onion rings are obviously hand headed and fried to crispy brown goodness. Yum!! The atmosphere is definitely upscale dive bar, with funky decor, hand made tables and old plank floors. An unexpected treat that you wouldn’t just happen on. Definitely look for it!!
