Outstanding! The food and pies are so very delicious. We had a little wait as they were very busy. It was well worth it. Also, you will not find a nicer group of waitresses. They go above and beyond. I loved everything about the place. Wish I lived closer.

OMG who knew a club on cornbread could be so good!?!?!?! I definitely did not, until eating lunch at Kitts Sunday afternoon. It was amazing and the pie was soooo yummy!!! I couldn’t decide what I wanted so I had key lime and coconut cream. They were delicious!! A must visit if you’re in Jefferson!!

The meal that I had at Kitt’s Kornbread, was quite honestly the best meal that I have had in a while. A sandwich on cornbread is a genius idea, and the club sandwich on jalapeño cornbread that I had was absolutely delicious. I also loved the broccoli salad, and will be dreaming about it for a while. The pies were also a highlight, and we very much enjoyed the key lime pie. Everyone in my party loved their meals, and we will absolutely be back next time we visit Jefferson. I would recommend Kitt’s to anyone in the area!

At the suggestion of the Helen Keller quote on the wall, wife and I had our pie before our meal. The “no sugar added” coconut cream pie was delicious, and the portion perfect. I ordered the “stewp” with jalapeno cornbread on the side. Wife ordered a cornbread sandwich, which she liked very much. The cornbread was surprisingly firm and suitable for sandwiches. Unlike so many jalapeno cornbreads we’ve tried, this had a welcome kick, as the jalapeno flavor gave equal presence with the buttery texture. The stewp was hearty and served in a small hot crock with melted cheese on top — nice touch. Too bad there’s nothing like this place in Ft. Worth. A must-stop Jefferson eatery.

Absolutely wonderful!! The waitress we had was outstanding! I was convinced she had to be the owner the way she ran around there without any problems. This place was completely packed full, folks steadily coming in waiting to be seated and she had 100% control over this whole restaurant! When we left I asked her name, Danielle, and found out she was not the owner! I couldn’t believe how well she handled everything! (And I forgot to mention she was very pregnant) Hats off to her!!!

Kornbread was good — soft and not crumbly. Bread pudding was quite nice. Anxious to try their pies.

Excellent experience. My wife and I enjoyed the best apple pie we have ever eaten. The cornbread sandwiches are also uniquely wonderful. Busy lunch time but we had only a brief wait around 1 on a Saturday. We’d definitely go back.

Upon first arriving the staff seats you most efficiently. The menu is simple but with so many great choices. I couldn’t decide between soup or a sandwich and most fortuitously the had a combo option for a sandwich and a soup. I had the recommended ham and Turkey club and the chili. Y’all! I have had a lot of chili in my life and by far this is the best chili I’ve ever eaten!!! Then to top it off I enjoyed their bread pudding with amaretto sauce which was warm, moist, sweet and ah-mazing!!!

Once a year we make a trip to East Texas, and we always make a point to eat at Kitt’s Kornbread. I don’t know anywhere else in the world that makes this type of amazing sandwich. The first bite is so buttery and soft and flavorful. Unforgettable, and why we keep coming back. Another reason we love this place is Danielle. She has been serving us year after year. She has an easy-going warmth and friendliness and if I owned a restaurant I would steal her away! One visit they were slammed and she took it all in stride. This visit (Easter Sunday) they are slow so she chatted for a bit. All in all, you can’t go wrong here, my sandwich in the foreground is vegetarian on jalapeño cornbread. I won’t have room for pie, but I’ll be sure and take some “to go” for later!! See ya next year!

The ambiance was good, as were the cornbread meals. Those who ordered the finely chopped Broccoli salad were pleased. The regular Chef Salad was just okay. Bread pudding was delicious. One restroom made for a wait.
