I just had take out from this establishment, and all I can say is WOW. I haven’t had Chinese food this good since I worked in NYC. The worst part is that Kit Hong is closing at the end of March due to the owner retiring. Try and order from there while you can. Hopefully they decide to stay open because I would definitely be a regular customer here. If they do close, they deserve as much business as possible until that day. Fantastic experience.

It was July 22. We really missed having Chinese food. Since I was in the area I ordered from this restaurant. It cost a lot of money and the food turned out to be awful! We threw it all out! We will never ever go their again. The fried rice had a soapy taste and the chicken was tough…like it was reheated from last weeks batch. It was not edible. It tasted bad! What a waste of time and money. Never again.

We went to get take out from here on April 1st 2020, and we are luckily we went there in person. The man took our order and went to the back to cook our food. After stepping outside I decided to return and order an extra eggroll. The same guy that took our order was in the back cooking. I heard multiple coughs and saw that he was cooking our food. I called him back to the front and asked if there is anyone else back there to cook out food and he smiled. During his smile we noticed he was holding his cough. All of sudden he started coughing a lot and did not cover his mouth. His cough was so strong he turned around and had to hold on to the table in front of the store where the register is at. He even sneezed a few times and was sweating. To make things worse he didn’t even have a mask or any gloves for protection. The fact that he was the only one taking orders and cooking our food without protection and and sick made us worried for us and for everyone that is going there to order. We are in a crisis and they have sick employees there cooking your food. Please stay away if you don’t want to get sick. This restaurant should close down and go and get tested for COV-19. They shouldn’t have people touching money, cards and being sick making our food.

Considered by the locals as being one of the best Oriental restaurants in the Tri-Boro area. Food was very good and portions were plentiful. We sampled each other’s entrees and they all were good. Being inside the Kinnelon Mall they get a decent amount of patrons stopping by. Would be interesting to see how much business they get from outside Mall hours.

This is our local Chinese Restaurant. I don’t care for the food here. I find it to be too salty most of the time. Hubby likes it, though. This is a “sit down” restaurant with table service, but you can order “to go”. Bottom line: I feel you can find better Chinese food in the area. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Have visited there several times , was happy most of the time. Last visit there food was overcooked. Ate two bites didn’t even complain was so disgusting. Waitress was too busy on her cell phone. Won’t be back for a while.

Very poor quality food; meat was essentialy hard as cardboard; Shrimp in lobster sauce marginally better. Prices high for quality. One star only for fast service.

Been going to Kit Hong for over 20 years, been happy but in the last year or two going down hill. Got take out on 12/12/13, will not again, that’s how bad it was. Fried dumplings-burnt, Pineapple chicken-dry as a bone, Sesame shrimp-smaller portion&over cooked, Pork lo mein-bland and with very very little pork strips. While their coupons drew us there, they won’t anymore. Will give the chinese restaurant next to Stop N Shop a fair shot from now on…
