Stopped here for a late lunch and was fo sho pleased with the food. The Jumbo BBQ sandwich plate will make a farm boy fall asleep on the tractor and the fried fish that I got a sample of from my partner was hot, tender and cooked just right. Super service by Linda. I bookmarked this spot for a return trip as the police officers mentioned that the burgers are as good as the BBQ. Linda has tempted me with Peach Cobbler and ice cream. My partner may have to drive home.

We LOVE Kissell’s Kitchen. Everything we’ve had has been outstanding. Particularly LOVE the catfish—their breading is crazy good. Unfortunately, we made a road trip there 3 weeks ago on a Saturday only to find it was closed for the owners to attend a wedding. Major bummer but we found another restaurant in another town that was really good.

Downtown Ripley. Parking is not an issue. I arrived around 12 noon, sat down with a menu and a few minutes later a waitress asked for my choice of beverage. Service was prompt. The restaurant began to fill.

The food is always Great! When the price of beef went sky high a couple of years ago, they shared their cost with the community instead of taking advantage of the situation. They deserve a 10 STAR RATING for their food, their service and caring for their customers & community!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Got the steak sandwich. Was OK, paper thin and 2.50 for tots and there was less then a handful. Service was great and tasted good, just wasn’t enough for the price. Nice place but don’t expect a big bang for your buck.

I am out traveling on the road again. I get a chance to try out various cafes, diners and restaurants in small cities and big cities. I’m in Ripley Tennessee and I tried kissell’s kitchen. I was excited to try their eggs benedict but I found that they didn’t serve it. As a matter of fact no one in town does. I decided to have their standard breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised.

Love Kissells Kitchen! Fried catfish is amazing! I’m super picky about fried catfish. Growing up in a southern family that celebrated every summer with fish fries on the weekends, I know what I like. Their fish and hushpuppies are delicious. Try their house chips when you go…crunchy and a great starter. The restaurant is always was super clean and inviting. I love the rustic decor that is pieces of Lauderdale county history collected over many years. Alot of cool things you don’t see often anymore. The waiters and waitresses are all super sweet also so you can’t help but leave a generous tip for going above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need…including a to-go cup for your leftover sweet tea! I definitely recommend Kissells Kitchen if you’re looking for some great food and good people!.
