Very authentic Japanese restaurant in Berkeley. I have been meaning to try this place for awhile. Definitely get reservations through Yelp, I was able to get one next day. Space is very small but very cozy.

Such a treat to eat here, I was feeling a little homesick (disclaimer, not from Japan) but taking myself out for dinner here really cheered me up.

One of the best japanese restaurants I have been. The menu is unique, and the dishes are unique and I never had before, like tuna three way. Love all the one we order. Udon is a must. It is so yummy. Corn fritter also good. Sashima and nigiri are fresh. Will visit again.

Make sure to reserve a table a week in advance, wait times can be as high as 5 hours without a reservation….and it’s well worth it.

The food was great for the most part. The fish stew was incredibly yummy. I was unimpressed by the squid, which was a bit chewy, and the American Wagyu beef, which was meh. Very good service.

The restaurant was busy when we went there. We had to wait for 50 minutes before we were seated, so I recommend putting your name down on the waitlist sometime before you plan to arrive. The restaurant has a small dining space, so that also adds to the long waitlist. Anyways, my friend and I ordered a few things –

One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in the east bay! Ingredients are great quality! Cooked with heart and skills! I love the beef tongue! It’s grill to perfect tenderness and the outside is crispy and full of umami! So as Chirashi, every piece of fish is super fresh. Also staffs are nice. Good experience over all. Little pricey but it’s worthy! I’ll come back again.

One of the best izakaya restaurants in the bay. The grilled beef tongue are a must try. Uni pasta and sushi are fresh and delicious. Not a bad dish on the menu. Service is fast and friendly. Make sure to reserve a table in advance.

Did doordash delivery. Freshest sushi delivery we have received. Everything high quality and delicious but too many tobiko eggs. Would order again without the eggs.
