I came across this place awhile ago but never had the opportunity to try. Found out a few days before the end of May that reservations only open up once a month so jumped on the chance to get a reservation. I suspect the omakase is what fills up fast. I opted to not do the omakase because I know what I would want to eat and don’t like to waste stomach space on additional dishes I don’t care for.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing an amazing omakase at this sushi restaurant, and from the moment we were served the starter Santenmori, we knew we were in for a treat. The assortment of fresh sashimi and appetizers was beautifully presented and set the tone for the rest of the meal.

Let me tell you something. I have never had an omakase restaurant experience as exquisite as Kinzo. The food made me almost cry twice! Once while I was eating and once when I was in my car leaving. I couldn’t believe the level of quality each dish. My wife even tried fish for the first time as chef Leo recommended that it would not taste like fish! My wife loved the black cod Chef Leo recommended. If you love fish as much as I do it is well worth it! I will be coming back again with an empty stomach and more people! Thank you for an experience of a lifetime.

Really great flavors but way over priced considering the location and ambience. I felt $77/per person wasn’t enough food and the value wasn’t there…and we needed at least double the food to feel full. It just didn’t feel at that price level overall. I think it should be half that to be fair.

Absolutely Amazing food! We ordered from the menu and every single dish was incredibly tasty. I don’t eat fish… mainly due to some trauma. After a little encouragement from Chef Leo I was given a marinated Black Cod that melted in my mouth like butter. It didn’t taste like fish at all and instead was met with an explosion of flavor and texture out of this world.

This was my third time at Kinzo and second time sitting at the omakase. This is hands down my favorite sushi spot! The fish is so fresh, and Chef Leo and his team create flavor profiles that leave me in awe with each bite! On top of that, the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. Anyone who has the privilege of being able to book a reservation here will not be disappointed!

The experience at Kinzo was unlike any other I’ve had before. From the very start, our server, Jeremy, helped create an atmosphere that was comfortable and inviting. We had the Mini Omakase with some add ons…everything was perfection. Chef Kekoa is extremely personable and we can’t wait to go back for another amazing meal! Thank you to the entire staff!

I love everything about Kinzo. Kinzo is my absolute favorite sushi restaurant in DFW. I’ve been to several Omakase restaurants and explored many sushi places in the area but Kinzo is a clear winner. I like that they offer both Omakase and a la carte options so I don’t have to stress about getting reservation. Most importantly all their sushi is so good and use high quality fish, and everyone who works there is so attentive and nice!! I normally get mini Omakase and ask for recommendations to get more sushi. The last three times I have been to Kinzo, my husband and I were extremely satisfied. This will remain as my go-to sushi place 🙂

This place was another level for sure. The best sushi restaurant I’ve ever had. The freshness was the top of top. I am so glad to have them in local to be able to have the best omakase experience. Their hot dish was awesome too.

We dined here on a Tuesday night for omikase. We have been to all the top rated sushi spots in Dallas, so we know excellent sushi when we eat it. This new place is a hidden gem. The presentation was so pretty, the sushi was over the top delicious! They didn’t serve the things that I personally don’t like, oysters and sea urchin. They did serve some great tuna, salmon, skip jack, and more. The egg custard was served warm not cold like other places. It was creamy and smooth. Dessert was to die for! Japanese pear, matcha mochi, and creme brulee. Chef Leo and staff are just amazing. Keep trying to get a reservation at this place, you won’t be disappointed.
