I’ll start by saying that I come here often for lunch and the lunch hour crew is fabulous and deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, the evening crew is constantly awful. I’ve wasted two trips for dinner. The first was a total embarrassment as I had recommended this place for a large group. We waited forever for a table even though several were available. I finally had to ask someone why we were still waiting and suddenly we were seated. And we had another 20+ minute wait to be waited on. Things continued like this the whole visit and the wait staff had attitudes the whole time. I just tried it again, just me this time and what a surprise. Very few people there so I got seated right away. Then I sat for 20 minutes while parties who can in after me got waited on. I had enough and got up and left. I will never go here for dinner again.

Great spot for sushi in the Elk Grove area. This establishment has been here for a long time and their consistency is still there. We decided to come in for dinner and were greeted almost immediately and seated right after. Luckily we came in early for dinner because it started to get busy because of the Sunday happy hour. The food was great and the sushi was fresh. Definitely a spot you don’t want to miss out on!

To begin with, the place was kinda sad, but I suppose it was early lunch, so that might just be wrong timing on my part. The server was very friendly and very helpful. Coming to the meat and potatoes, the food was kinda meh. Rice was dry and not sticky enough, tuna wasn’t particularly fresh. Gyoza was overfried, chicken katsu could be juicier, California roll was alright. In short, food wise nothing really stood out.

Service was excellent, food was a bit on the bland side. I had a roll and a sashimi plate, daughter had a different roll. Both of us thought the rolls were on the bland side. The employees were very attentive and thoughtful, without being pushy.

High energy atmosphere with talented chefs always wowing the guests. Wasn’t all flash, thankfully. Food was pretty solid. I had ordered tonkatsu calamari and they messed up my order and ended up grilling it instead. It was still tasty (maybe it was a good mess up!). Fun for the kids. They’ll get a kick out of the surprise flames and egg juggling. 🙂

Got take out and was underwhelmed. The 2 sushi rolls – Charger and Crazy Crab – were bland and flavorless. The shrimp/vegetable tempura and Pepper Finn were good however, which helped boost this rating to a 3. Definitely a mixed bag and in-person food may be a totally different experience. I’m basing this on a DoorDash take out order.
