I must say that the restaurant was clean and well lit. The patrons were very friendly and up to the task at hand. The several tables to dine inside were large and clean. The food portions were decent, but they could use some seasoning. Many restaurants today seem reluctant to season their food due to food allergies, etc. But, a few sliced onions wouldn’t have hurt the string beans! As for the whiting, they were tasty, but the individual pieces were somewhat thin. The yams were on the money, and the half-n-half tea/lemonade drink was great and came in a large container! It might be a tad too sweet for some. By and large, I’ll come back again!

Some of the best you’ll ever find. Wish I could post a 10 star review here. I had the ribs, yams, some wings, and corn bread about a week ago and my mouth is still watering every time I think about it. Can’t wait to come back. Treat yourself and get to King’s Southern Delight ASAP.

Was very excited to try this place after reading so many great reviews. I work in the area, and decided to pop in for lunch. Very disappointing. Where do I begin, first I walk in and to no surprise to me, was a line. Fine. They’re busy, people like their food. So, whatever. Only after to actually wait on line (3rd) and watch in shock as the server was super slow with serving and packaging a customers order. So, I’m thinking, maybe she’s just meticulous. Turns out, she’s just slow. Waited like a fool for an additional 14 mins for it to finally be my turn. NOTHING I had originally planned for was available (lucky me) I opt for the fish (whiting) a disappointment in itself, which they do make their fish on demand because why wouldn’t you, it’s whiting. To actually get my food and it was ONE piece of fish. My total was $17 dollars. My sides were collard greens (horrible) and white rice (bland). I won’t be back.

Was in restaurant and an old ignorant woman who was working behind the counter began talking loud, nasty and disrespectful to the customers for no reason. Unbelievable! The people who support this restaurant live in the community. Everyone deserves respect and kindness when they walk in the door. The food wasn’t that good either. It lacked flavor and wasn’t completely done.

Was in the area so I decided to check out this spot before ending back to the Friendly staff! The turkey wings are very good. I really enjoyed it. The ribs are tendar, and seasoned well. I have eaten ribs from many spots before, but I must say the ribs here are better than most. I was even given one extra rib for good luck. The sides of collard greens, and macoroni, and cheese were good as well. You get a piece of corn bread with every meal. The corn bread is nice, and moist. The sweet potatoe pie was okay; the crust was a little hard though. I was told they have different meats, different days of the week, so check on what they are serving that day before you go.

My husband stopped in to pick up sides only and the customer service was horrible. An older lady, who was rude and nasty ,sold him only 2 out of the 4 sides that was requested, stating “I’m not making money selling 2 large Mac and Cheese”. My husband did state that another lady did apologize but that’s ridiculous!! To be honest, the food is nasty…..never again!!
