Chicken here is like no other. I love it

We had not been to King Edwards in years. And decided to try it on Saturday afternoon. And we were definitely not disappointed. The chicken was hot, the mashed potatoes and gravy was hot and the fries were. We decided to sit there and eat but the next time, because there will be a next time, we will get it to go. The young people working there were knowledgeable and pleasant. Absolutely no complaints.

We made the trip from Greenville Il because my husband loves this place.The young lady that took our order was so helpful and friendly. The food was fresh and awesome! It was a great lunch experience for my family.

The best fried chicken and fries I’ve ever had, full stop. Atmosphere of the restaurant could be improved but I would guess that 95% of people just pick up anyway.

I got catfish nuggets and fried catfish with sides. Please see the pictures. I just can’t justify 40$ total here. Fried okra is good. Regular crinkle fries are the frozen kind. Fried fish tasted good, but not nearly enough for the price.

Never again. Called in a large family order, gave them an extra 10 minutes from when they said it would be ready in case they were busy, and after waiting in line we’re told the food hasn’t even been cooked yet and we have to wait 25 minutes more AND some of our order wouldn’t be available but we had to pay full price for the dinner as though we got it. No food is good enough to ignore terrible service and being ripped off. These yocals can keep this place to themselves. Onward and upward!

10 min wait is a joke. Fries were not done. Seemed to only be 2 people working while the rest spent their time chatting. Took closer to an hour to get my family’s dinner. Heard one employee complaining that noone tipped….then she stood and chatted for 30 min. Maybe if people didn’t need to wait an hour when they were told 10 min….

I did not like the fact that I was not told about a pre-gratuity charge when paying with my card, I had already tip when asked on card machine, my food was 23.09 plus tax 2.15 (cash discount 0.96) whatever that was for, brought it to 27.09 plus I tiped 4.06 according to their percentage that they showed on the card machine, which brought it to 31.05, I got akra for 4.99 which was not worth the amount they gave me (JFS!!!)
