I was in Hawaii for 30 days and I must have ate here nearly twice a week. I really wish I discovered this place earlier. I am from the Bay area, so I live near Oakland and SF Chinatown. The food here at Kin Wah is far superior than anything I can get back at home. I know it sounds crazy, but Chinese food hasn’t been the same for the last 10 years plus here in the Bay area. The Chow Fun at Kin Wah reminds me of my childhood. Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while. Top picks: Beef Chow Fun with black bean sauce Dry style, Won ton with Chili Green Onion and Ginger sauce and Peking duck with buns. Prices are very reasonable (especially when you compare to Bay area prices). The Owners and workers are all very nice. I wanted to give a shout out to Lisa and Jay, thank you for creating a great dining experience for me. I will be back next year.

I am on vacation here in Hawaii and was looking forward to an awesome meal at Kin Wah Chop Suey. According to the reviews and pictures, this restaurant served good food. Well once we got home and opened the containers, the family was turned off immediately. Not only did we not recognize the food, it tasted so bad, we threw it away right away. I am not sure what others may consider good tasting food from this restaurant. I can truly say my experience was awful and l can not agree their reviews. It was a total waste of money, time and gas.

My family has been going Kin Wah since before I moved away in 77. Still try to make a lunch or dinner when Im on the Windward side as the service is always good and the food very tasty. Portions are still good sized when you order either the lunch plates, dinner plates or ala carte. Never disappointed all the times I’ve stopped by here to eat.

Totally awesome place to eat Chinese food. Fast and they were really nice. We had one dirty bowl on our table but we didn’t make a big deal about it. Easy mistake to make given the amount of people that they serve. That’s one of the busiest places I have seen. Service was still really good.
