I am a fan. I was a walk in and sat at the bar. The two bartenders were wonderful. This space is big and has a nice ambiance. All the workers wear uniform and I was watching the manager as I sat at the bar and he’s definitely running a tight ship.

The ambiance and service was great. The food was good. My only complaint is there was no kid’s menu. The waitress shared with me they recently changed menus. She still gave me the option of chicken or shrimp for a kids meal but my daughter wanted steak. They said I could not pay more to add steak to her kids meal. That was disappointing.

I do not recommend eating here, there are better places to spend your money on sushi. Good atmosphere until you try to order your food. Waiter left after we said we were ready to order. Food was subpar for sushi in the area, and the prices are higher than the competition. Lack of variety compared to the competition as well. Waited 10 minutes for our drinks to be refilled while multiple employees chatted. Waited 15 min to receive the check. After receiving the check you will find out that gratuity is auto included on your bill at 18%, but at the bottom of the receipt it’ll tell you the gratuity for 15,18,20,22. I have no problem tipping, nor does the price bother me, but it is something I like to decide on based on service. This is for all parties, including single, you have no choice on this. When questioned about this the waiter only had one thing to say “Its on the bottom of the menu, you can read it. You don’t have to tip me anymore.” I do not recommend coming here, with the rest of the sushi places in the area. I highly recommend driving 25 min to Plainfield and going to a place called Cho Sushi. Great people, great prices, great menu, and above all great food.

Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful service. The sushi and bang bang shrimp are so freaking delicious. I am very happy with our server and hibachi chef. This was a fantastic way to celebrate my dads birthday. Also, extra points because the owner came out and cheered us on and we did sakebombs. So much fun. Doumo arigatou gozaimasu.

I only came for sushi and a drink at the bar, but I loved it and it was delicious. The restaurant was set up nicely between each stove seating as well. I’ll definitely be back for the hibachi. The customer service was great as well.

I was looking for sushi rolls and they had a great selection! We started with a dry martini and the passion martini which were really good and then we had the plum sake with dinner because they didn’t have the orange sake. We had four rolls which was plenty for 2 people and the mango roll was unexpected but a delicious balance of sweet and spicy with the jalapeño. We had the molten lava cake for dessert and our waitress was great! I have been here for hibachi in the past and they do a great job with hibachi as well! I highly recommend Kiku!

my family and i have been going to kiku since it first opened. in the past few years, prices have increased and the taste and quality of the food has decreased immensely. even the sauces for hibachi are sub-par now. its a very expensive place, so we used to go for birthdays or holidays or special events. but in the past few years, it’s been let down after let down. sucks to walk out of a restaurant and be down a few hundred dollars and unsatisfied.

Kiku is a very good hibachi restaurant and has been for the past couple of years! The bathrooms are clean, the staff are very courteous and attentive, and the food is always good. The biggest reason I’m taking a star off is the price. The portions seem smaller and you no longer get soup AND salad. I think the prices went up too. While everything is very good, the place is really pricy and that makes it less accessible to certain groups wanting a casual dinner.

Previous two visits were fantastic from food to service. Today was a celebration for my son’s birthday. Medium rare steak was well done for all three of our meals, chicken was dry also, waiter was nowhere to be found and overall waiter service was beyond disappointing as he disappeared so we couldn’t even ask for anything. Never cleared our table until the end of the meal. Just left feeling super disappointed. Nor really sure we’ll be back.
