Kikku Japanese features traditional Japanese and fusion dishes; e.g., spicy chicken. I ordered #2 Teriyaki Tri-Tip Beef and Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura. Both were served with salad and sticky rice. Both were large portions and tasty. I arrived about 11 on a weekday. It appeared that most were regular customers and ordered ahead. Those that ordered ahead received their food first. I did not order ahead, and as I stood there waiting and watching others walk in and out with their lunch, I began to be a little concerned that my order was overlooked. I was glad when the owner or manager stopped by to let me know that my order would be out shortly. I really appreciate that. She also thanked me for my business and said she hoped to see me again.

Went to lunch with 4 coworkers. The wait was decent. The service REALLY surprised me. We were asked by a live person, about 3 times, “how’s everything?” Semi finer dining in take-out containers. Tempura veggies were cooked to perfection. Salmon too. Who knew you could ask for three of the specific veggies? Not me, but I know I’ll be doing it on my next visit. Thanks for such a lovely dining experience.

Lovely staff. Very friendly. Ordered the Spicy Crispy chicken, the Downtown spicy chicken and tempura appetizer. Everything was delicious. I would definitely go here again and recommend for a quick bite. The decor was chill, lots of seating, and very clean restaurant. I hear it gets busy during lunchtime thought. I was here for dinner and it was fairly busy but food came out quick steaming hot. Definitely give it a try.

Teriyaki chicken plate is very good. Chicken has a nice char on it that pairs well with the sweet teriyaki sauce. The spicy crab roll is one of the best I’ve had. I would definitely go here again if I was in Fresno.

I’m a fairly normal customer to their location at palm and nees, and it was my first time to the downtown location. I was kind of disappointed with the cleanliness and appearance. An interior remodel is overdue if you ask me. That and I honestly think the food is better at the palm and nees spot. Or maybe it was the atmosphere that made the food seem less appealing ♂️ That being said, the food was still really great. The sauce used for the spicy chicken dish is out of this world… no joke.

Only tries the spicy crispy chicken. It’s not bad. Pretty good and price is decent. You get a good size portion too. Gets pretty busy during lunch time so I would recommend calling in to order ahead.
