We did the Omakase menu – and it was mind blowing. Fresh, delicious, incredibly plated and playful. The hostess was very warm and even remembered us from our time at Kibatsu pre-Covid. Love the vibe too, highly recommend for an intimate dinner with friends or a loved one.

This is a long overdue review for my first in-person omakase experience in the past two years. I had my fair share of takeout/delivery sushi during the pandemic, but the nature of omakase is arguably one of the hardest to translate to takeout. There is something about enjoying a piece of nigiri that is still warm from the chef’s hand.

This place needs to learn how to time seatings. We arrived very hungry on time for our 7pm reservation and were told to wait. It took 20 minutes to be seated. No apology, nothing offered to us. Most other groups that arrived seemed to have the same experience (even when there were open spots). Some were offered free edamame. Some people arrived and knew the hostess and were seated immediately. Reading other reviews on here, it seems that this is not a fluke. In other words, this restaurant saves seats for their regulars at the expense of everyone else.

Wow. Omakase is one of the best I’ve had in San Francisco. Ambience and service is also top notch. Love the intimacy of this place. Only stumbled upon it today because we were at an event nearby. Wish I knew of this place earlier!! Highly recommend! Very high quality.

This place is spectacular, potentially the best sushi I’ve had outside of Tokyo. It has a dark sort of rustic interior that somehow feels both intimate and lively. The sushi is fantastic, they have a great selection of fresh fish and make some very unique nigiri.

The reviews I read for this place were absolutely correct. So much food, and so delicious!! Included are pics of every course (alcohol not included in omakase)

Just an OK dining experience here. I didn’t enjoy certain dishes like the dynamite roll which was swimming in sriracha. The 49ers roll was just OK but I didn’t understand the slice of lemon on top of every roll. Confused by chips were served with the tuna tartar. Wishes the miso soup was complimentary bec it tasted like your basic miso soup packet from Japantown.
