We went here tonight with friends as part of our dinner club tour. It was phenomenal. We were all so happy that we were there with a group of 5 so we could try all of the food. It’s served family style. Everything was delicious. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. One of the best parts, besides the food being great and the desert being great and the ambiance being great was that they also had a very robust list of NA options that were equally as great. Highly recommend. We will be back for sure.

Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and with just the right amount of attentiveness from the servers. The parking lot is valet only but there is plenty of street parking close by. Khaluna also has a nice patio area along with a lovely smaller room that can be used for around a 20 person group gathering. I highly recommend this gem. I didn’t capture all our dishes that we ordered due to me ravishing them. Flavors are so well balanced and they even have a separate vegetarian menu. I give them a solid five stars, go check them out if you haven’t been yet!

This place blew my mind with the burst of flavors and pairings!! Would highly recommend. I’d encourage you to be adventurous and order new items you wouldn’t typically and allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised. The servers are well versed in the menu and do an incredible job describing each of the dishes!!

Hubby & I went on our Sunday Date to this Amazing place Khâluna. Our first time here, but we have eaten at the chef/owner’s other restaurant Lat 14 so we decided to try her other restaurant. The food was amazing, it’s very different from what we normally eat, but the food was delicious, the atmosphere was a 10/10. We ate at the bar, because we didn’t have reservations. They also have outdoor dining. I would recommend this restaurant and we will be back.

The restaurant has a great vibe, it’s very zen-like. Food didn’t stand out to much. I like their basil chicken wings, very crispy and tasty. The sauce to eat with samosa didn’t have much of the flavor. Fish was crispy and well-fried, however the mango was too sour and the sauce didn’t compliment it well.

We went to celebrate our anniversary. Pur reservations were for the bar, but they offered a patio table, which was quieter and comfortable. Service was pleasant, sweet and calm, but a bit slow.

khaluna.mpls is a trendy fusion restaurant combining elements of Lao and Thai cuisine. It shares the same owner as Lemongrass in Brooklyn Park. However, if you’re seeking authentic Lao/Thai food, this might not be the ideal choice. Personally, I found the curry to be overly sweet, and while the duck laab was presented nicely, I prefer the traditional salad style of Lemongrass. The Gaeng dish was excessively sour and had a strong fishy (frozen before) taste, which didn’t appeal to me. The portions were shareable, but considering the price, it seemed more focused on the restaurant’s aesthetics. I wasn’t impressed with the food. On a positive note, the basil wings are amazing. Ending the night, our waiter Monte recommended the coconut passion fruit/dragon fruit dessert, which was outstanding. It struck a perfect balance of sweetness, sourness, and coconut texture. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 2/5 stars for the food and 5 stars for its beautiful indoor and outdoor decor. Overall, over priced food you can find better elsewhere.

Authentic South Asian food that tastes amazing. “Chicken samosas” were amazing and the “Khaluna old fashioned” is the way to go when it comes to drinks. They had a huge selection of drinks as well but me being a whiskey lover, loved their signature old fashioned the best. A must try for all!!! The staff were super friendly and the service was great. By the way, this restaurant does table service only by reservations so make sure you reserve your seat before you get there.

The food is delicious. It’s a fusion of Laotian and South Asian(?) Food and honestly one of the best restaurants to eat at in the cities. We got the chicken samosas, basil wings, red curry, and duck fried rice. Everything was on point. The basil wings were the highlight. Would recommend %.
