The food here is excellent! We each had chicken rice bowls which were delicious and very filling. I also got their refreshing hibiscus mint tea, so we spent $40 for two people’s meals and a specialty drink. It was about a thirty minute wait for our food, and we saw people who ordered after us get their food first but the wait was absolutely worth it for the food.

Loved this place, the chicken bowl was so unique and the flavors were incredible. BBQ can get a little old so I loved seeing the creativity here. The only snafu was that it seemed they lost our ticket along with a few other orders around us. We noticed people who ordered after us were getting their food while we were still waiting. After waiting a half hour we inquired, and they had to dig for our ticket. But they promptly made our food and it was worth the wait.

Brisket was amazing. It was soft, moist and melt in your mouth. It’s spiced conservatively but that’s definitely a good thing. The rice tho was heavenly!! The candied nuts and saffron hit the spot just right. Definitely try this Egyptian inspired BBQ spot!!

Soooooo good!!!! We absolutely loved our experience at KG BBQ! The owner KG is so kind, the food is beyond delicious and the vibes are just right. It’s a perfect blend of Texas energy with an amazing Egyptian twist (and the best flavors).

The food is tasty, but I do think it’s a little overpriced and the line is soooo long the brisket rice is very good, the nut, pomegranate, meat, and spiced rice goes well together (although I wish the portion is a little larger). The Egyptian Mac and cheese was effective marinara pasta with a ton of melted cheese on top. I liked it, but my friend ordering it was a little disappointed. It is different from the traditional Mac and cheese. the cheese is not miscible with the aqueous tomato sauce, so the cheese does not stick to the pasta that well.

While the wait was about an hour to order food it was well worth it. The blend of spices and smoke made for an amazingly fresh new take on how BBQ can be done well. Everything we tried was delicious and I cannot wait to go again and get items that were sold out while we waited to order.

Place opens at 11am and we got there 11:27 AND IT WAS PACKED! We waited in line and for the food for approximately 90 minutes (something me and my husband knew looking at the reviews beforehand) IT WAS SOOOO HOT so we grabbed a beer while waiting. ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE WAIT, I’m so impressed with everything that was served. My only little problem was with the sides, too salty for my taste.
