I won’t be ordering online from this place ever again. We live less than five minutes from this location and we arrived to pick up our food you’d think we ordered it 2 hours before. The chicken was cold, the biscuits were hard and stale. So disappointing. With so many other chicken places to choose from I think we’ll just start choosing a different place, no matter how far we have to travel to get a descent meal because you won’t get it here.

Of all Amarillo locations, this place sucks. I live out in the country..I receive other than my order most of the time, finding out after I return home with what we would hope a delicious meal…now I started checking my order before I leave and recommend the order get corrected. In the mean while, during the correction, I am told I have to wait an additional 30 to 45 minutes. I just made my last visit to this restaurant and I know their patrons deserve better when the average cost for a family is around $55.00 plus…most restaurants you do get what you pay for, at this restaurant on Ross in Amarillo…..be prepared to leave very unsatisfied with customer service…..the service has been declining for the last couple of years and is getting worse by the visit….my family will no longer return to this restaurant….Do not just take this review to make an informed decision,….read the other negative comments as well…..

Had the $4.99 chicken fried steak meal! Fast service, beautiful rose bush in drive thru line! Big serving of delicious coleslaw! Great deal on a filling meal! On 7/29/23 burnt my tongue on their mashed potatoes and grav y! Be Careful, served way too hot!!

The signs on the door and the website indicated that this branch was going to open at 10:30AM. I made an online order to be picked up at 11AM but when I got to the restaurant, the doors were still locked. I peeked inside and the lady by the counter shook her head and did not even go near the door to talk to me and she left. After a few minutes, I tried going through the drive thru to see if maybe I can talk to somebody there but nobody came on the speaker to talk. I wanted to cancel my order but the online status said it was already “completed”. I drove around again and parked my car, tried to open the door but it was still locked. I saw what I suspected to be my order on their pick up counter. Finally, the lady opened the door slightly and I told her about my order. She closed the door again, grabbed my order and handed it to me. I asked her if there was a reason why their doors were still locked since by this time it was already 11:30AM. She couldn’t really give me a proper answer and just said sorry. She then locked the door again. It was such a frustrating experience. There were a couple other people waiting for them to open and cater to the drive thru, as well.

Ordered tonight from Doordash and KFC decided they’d give me no drink or mashed potatos with my order. The biscuit they gave me was dough, completely raw dough that was semi cooked to appear done on the outside but it was RAW DOUGH. My famous bowl that I also ordered was barely full. 4 nuggets in it with barely any cheese or mashed potatos. Im so severely disappointed in paying for this meal. I also tried calling, they ignored and when I called back 4 MORE TIMES, it was a busy tone after that. Absolutely ridiculous.

This is what $10 bucks get you at KFC on Ross St in Amarillo, Texas. Incorrect order, half-breaded chicken, mutilated biscuit, and wrong sides. This is prison quality food. Go to the one on the other side of town. It’s much better managed. As a matter of a fact, skip KFC and go straight to Popeyes.

Stopped by 03/21/2023 at 8:19pm to pick up HotWings for lunch tomorrow. I asked if they had HotWings and the girl said no and left me standing there. I said louder (because she was away from the counter) how about an 8 piece? She said kinda bothered we only have Original. I said that will be fine. When I got to my room the chicken was dark shriveled and tasted like burnt grease. I can post pictures if required. My order # was 3983 on 03/23/2023. I thought upper management should know.

I love kfc but I can’t stand biscuits. Kfc used to offer rolls or biscuits. Back when I was a young man, I worked at kfc in Sacramento California, kfc in abilene texas, kfc in Denver colorado, and kfc in Southern California. So I know chicken! The biscuits didn’t come in the box back. It was a roll. The gravy was made with the chicken cracklins. Cole slaw was made in house by the manager. Today’s kfc is a mere shadow of its former self but the 11 herbs and spices are the same today as they were then. I still love it. Can’t stand the biscuits though.
