If you’re looking for homestyle American cooking this is the place to go. Good stop for truckers, however a bit far from 14. Very good service, wait staff are nice and very quick. I frequent this place and would recommend it to everyone. Bathrooms are a small bit and lacking, however the building is old and they are trying their best. The atmosphere is calm, chill, and relaxed. Very friendly.

I really like the breakfast I had at the Kernel. It was so good! We went the day before Mother’s Day and it was so busy! The food was terrific! I had French toast with ham and I was so happy that they had ham! No one has a slice of ham to offer with their breakfast’s and they did and it was excellent!!! My daughter had a cinnamon roll with her breakfast wow, they are huge and really really good! I highly recommend this place for breakfast!!! I only wish I had taken pictures of all the food we ordered that morning!

Is the building dated? Yes but is the food and service great? Yes it is! Many yummy options and the prices are good. The ribs were tender and the flavor was great. So many pie options too. So glad we tried them. We will be back.

The service was excellent and the food was a little tired just like the interior decor The place is located well & can be the best in town if renovations are done especially targeting the younger generation the older folks ain’t going to be around for long baby boomers are controlled by their kids & grand kids plus social media so they follow their recommendations Transformation on the interior decor and outside parking put up a small smoking shack for your employees to make them feel respected and loved a bench for customers waiting for take outs some soft smooth jazz and Walla ! You will attract baby boomers and their families just by a step up in decor Thank you

Such an awful experience, thank God we don’t live here and never have to go back. For a breakfast place, they cooked my eggs wrong, burnt the toast yet it was cold, hashbrowns were solid greese, and the bacon was burnt yet soft cause of how much greese. The super young and incredibly rude manager refused to take the meal off. NO WAY would I want a new plate. Freaking gross. Highly recommend Perkins if you visit this town.
