Being that we only have one other spot in Clarksville that has soul food, I wanted to see this place win! The yams are FULL of sugar & the turnip greens were so salty & I don’t want to even talk about the corn bread.I ended up throwing the plate away. This leads me to believe that the cook or cooks smoke cigarettes . That has been my past experience. The cigarettes do something to the taste buds. I’m going to give them one more try but after that, I’m done.

I have never tasted soul food that didn’t have soul. Mac and cheese was noodles and butter apparently. The chess pie was rubbery. The chicken and dressing was bland. Green Beans had NO FLAVOR. A soul food restaurant is definitely needed in Clarksville but THIS ISN’T IT. The reviews have to be from family and friends.

I woke up this morning wanting some homecooked soul food. This was my first time and I must say I was very dissapointed. The mac n cheese was just noodles and sauce. The sauce didn’t taste cheesy at all. The turnips were very bland i had to add salt. The cornbread was very dry. The turkey n dressing was ok but it wasn’t that soul food taste i was expecting. I did have some burnt peaces of dressing. I was dissapointed after she told me she was out of cranberry sauce for the dressing and I was charged full price. I went to krogers and bought my own. If your looking for that real grandma soul food taste this isn’t it. I spent 17 dollars for my plate and it was very dissapointing for the price I paid. Please be mindful if you purchase with your card it’s cost a little extra. This was an honest non biased review.

Restaurant needs to be cleaned up and redecorated but the food the catfish is the only thing worth mentioning that mac and cheese is absolutely horrible. Just sell it or find a person that actually likes to cook. Cause whomever is cooking you can tell they don’t enjoy it.

Keondra’s soul food restaurant don’t owe me nothing!! I expected the food to be good but, I did not expect it to be melt in yo mouth explosion of flavor in your mouth good!! I mean I have no words for how good the food was and how full my belly got!

They give you a lot for the main dish but the sides are tiny. I would like to have more Mac and cheese instead of a pound of chicken and dressing. They are one of the only soul food places in the area though, so we will support them quite often. But larger sides would be great for the $15 price of the meat and two.

The first time I ordered from this place was a good experience. Everything taste great but the quantity size for the fries could have been better. I ordered the second time today & the fries were overcooked, hard, & crunchy brown, the slaw was runny as if someone poured milk in it. The only thing was good was the fish so that’s why I gave 2 stars. For $15, it was not worth it. Please take in consideration that we customers are paying to support your businesses (generally speaking) so we expect good quality & quantity of food. Make it worth the prices you’re asking for.

I went there for the first time and ordered the whiting plate with turnip greens (which tasted like they was boiled in water with no flavoring), candied yams(good but very stringy) the cornbread dry and fish was fried way to hard, this was very disappointing, I want be back….
