So, I’ve heard a lot about this place and people rave about how great the food is from here. I can’t really rate the chicken, as I haven’t tried it yet after I ordered two beef patties from here. I also asked for them with cheese. The patties were beyond old and burnt, with the exterior showing clear burnt signs and beyond crunchy. I’m assuming they’ve been sitting for a while and rather than make us FRESH patties, they reheated these and gave us trash. It was not only barely edible and probably one of the worst beef patties I’ve ever had (As far as Kennedys go). It also gave me TERRIBLE heartburn. Maybe since I came later in the night, they gave me whatever they had and took the lazy way out. Still, that’s no excuse to give me anything less than what I paid for. More so, why serve me something in a state that YOU wouldn’t eat it in? I haven’t came back since, nor do I plan on it. I’m honestly not even sure how this place has great ratings, but I’m assuming people just haven’t had great Kennedys (Especially in NYC), so this is as good as it gets.

Ordered through Door Dash- first time trying Kennedy Fried Chicken and it was quite tasty. One bag of our order was mixed up with someone else’s, we believe because the bags didn’t have any labels on them. We were bummed that we didn’t get our corn nuggets. We will try again next time.

This place is hit or miss. Sometimes you will have fresh chicken but most times not.I recommend buying the wing dings because they prepare them fresh upon ordering.

I ordered the Lamb over rice and it was really good. Almost as good as in NYC. I wish they would put some fries or fried shrimp, like the food carts in the city. I’ve also tried their fried chicken, skin crispy with nice flavor and juicy insides. I def recommend this place. I left one star because it could be a wait to get your food when there’s people waiting. I edited my review. I absolutely love the food here and the guys that work there are awesome.

Awful food, awful place. The fried chicken was beyond horrible, chicken sandwich you couldn’t even chew, not edible. French fries so soggy they must have been in hurricane grease. Waste of money.

I was happy to see that there was a Kennedy Fried right next door to where I now live so that I don’t have to dive all the way into Newburgh to get my fried chicken fix. However unfortunately this place does not have the same taste as the Lake Street chicken. Can’t put my finger on it, but just know that I am still driving to the Lake street location to get my fix. I even tried them twice to make sure that it wasn’t me being picky as the Upper B’way location is just as good as Lake Street.
