Kennebec Tavern,Bath Maine, stopped by Kennebec because we wanted something different other than lobster, the loaded nachos was good but the lettuce should not be added to nachos since toppings are warm then the lettuce get wilted, there were no avacado and wish there were more seasoning added. Also had a cup of chili, nice concept with chunks of beef but again lacking in flavor, the cheeseburger with mushrooms was lacking in flavor, fish and chip was adequate, it would go a long way if the cook uses salt/pepper while cooking to enhance food flavors. The chicken breast sandwich was overcooked and again lacking in flavor, side of potato salad was disappointing, it was doused in mayo,a little goes a long way. Today customer go to restaurants that are consistent in flavor, perhaps this was a miss day for Kennebec. $$$

I was disappointed with the hostess. She was busy, but rather than acknowledge people waiting she just ignored the people in line time after time. We got seated after a little wait and chose the outdoor patio. The view of the Kennebec River is beautiful! Ordered the spinach artichoke dip and crabcakes to share with my mother and two raspberry spiked lemonade. We were not disappointed. Everything was cooked perfect and was very tasty.

This is a very chill place for a warm, tasty meal. The service was delivered quickly with a smile. Candida is top notch. I had the fish Peta with avocado tartar sauce over thai peanut coleslaw. Smoked tomato soup was rich and delicious. Small Greek salad was well balanced and delicious. Cocktails are Large. 5 of 5 forks. Cheers!

Just wanted a cold beer on the water. Had a little time before I needed to be anywhere. They were not busy, took a minute to get seated when the hostess just wanted to talk to another employee about something and didn’t feel like acknowledging us. Sat out by the water, nice to be able to be right on the river. Only 3 other tables out there and the waitress just stood in the back corner of the patio area. Took us roughly 12 minutes for her to even come over. Luckily the hostess had brought menus for us already. Of course they were also out of the beer I wanted.

First visit here. Seemed really nice in the dinning room area. Decent bar and right on the river! Seafood chowder was the star of my dinner. My daughter’s both had burgers, bbq bacon and fireworks burger. I tried them both and and they were great, cooked medium. A little on the smaller size for my appetite. Chicken Wings were Ok..

Lunch stop down on the water, wasn’t super busy for a lunch crowd. Nice location, a bit dated but some neat decor.

Always a favorite. Consistent food and service… Unless the owner’wife is working.. She’s very rude. Everyone else is incredible! From the friendly guy running glasses from the kitchen (starts with a J, looks like a football hero, acted like a customer service hero) to our bartender, (damn it I forgot her name too! Petite friendly and put up with us and the social commentary between us and the regular on the corner! Forgot his name too! You know who you are! ). I had a crab roll which was just how you want it to be simple crab roll heavy on the crab! My husband had a Reuben and the corned beef is clearly house made thick cut and delicious! Never mind the fries I could eat those for lunch just by themselves! Definitely a place we always stop when we’re driving by on our way home to New harbor!

Very enjoyable experience! Our waiter was very friendly and efficient, taking our orders and frequently checking on us; dishes were all tasty and perfectly seasoned – clam chowder, haddock sandwich, haddock filet, and mac & cheese. Highly recommend this fine local restaurant!

The perfect side of the road lobster roll /seafood Maine experience. The Lobster rolls are market price, and about the same as everywhere else. We also had the clams and clam chowder, which were also perfect. You can also get whole lobster meals, local jarred fruits and condiments, and ice cream at the other little “shacks” on the large deck (great river view!). Be sure to check out the history displays, too. Great service. Cash only.
