Good place for a quick stop to pick up some bbq or anything else you’re craving. Definitely a run down eating area, but if you don’t like it then just drive a few minutes up the road, park at a beach, and eat there with a view. Food is good either way. They also have shaved ice.

Stopped here on our way to the spitting cave. A hole-in-the-wall food joint one would say. Looks can be deceiving. The food was pretty good. I ordered the teriyaki beef and hubby ordered the ….. beef patties over rice. (Can’t remember the name dang it). Both menu items were tasty. We definitely would go back. The reason for the 4 stars is the person taking our order at the window was pretty rude. We are all about customer service and this place lacked that. But the food made up for it! Check it out if your in town.

Keneke’s is my favorite place to get local food. The food is amazing. My go to is the mix plate with chicken Katsu, Kalua pig, and mochiko chicken (if they don’t have mochiko chicken get shoyu chicken). I’m getting hungry typing this out!

This place was OK. We ordered the lunch special of garlic shrimp which came with rice and macaroni salad plus a drink for $13.00. I was a bit put off by the smell, and the unclean feel of the seating area which also had a lot of flies mid day. The servers kept the screens shut to the order window and only opened it to pass money and food through. Feels a bit shady to not be able to see what’s going on inside. The shrimp was pretty good, steamed perfectly and the garlic butter tasty with big pieces of garlic. Rice and macaroni were so-so The good was just not enough to overcome the rest.

This is the hard part of doing a review. Giving a low rating. But gotta be honest so… here i go. My Husband brought home dinner from here. I was excited because i love trying new local places. I always try to support local if you read my reviews. My mom had the Chicken Katsu Plate. I saw her struggling eating it so i tried a piece. It was TOUGH. I have really good teeth. I eat meat and i have strong jaws. I was struggling myself trying to chew. I ate 5 more pieces to be fair. All the same. TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH. Gave my husband some. His reaction was the same. TOUGH. I had to take half of hers and give her half of my plate. My husband took the rest. We don’t waste food in this house so we ate it ☹️ I had the Teriyaki Chicken Plate. Was supposed to be all rice but was only two scoops instead of three. I always give my husband the extra but there was none to give. He wasn’t told no either so he assumed it was ok. One guy that did a review had all Mac Salad so why not? Instead i was short changed ☹️. What made it worse was the rice was mushy. Not happy. The Teriyaki Chicken was soft but kinda fatty. Sauce was good but the chicken itself was lacking flavor. Maybe marinating it longer would be better? My Husband had the Pork Adobo Plate. Said meat was dry. Im hoping it was just a bad day for them. They did give plenty napkins though and shoyu. Some places are skimpy on that so Mahalo! My husband did say the service was very good though. The person handling the counter was really nice. Thats why i gave two stars instead of one. Service with a Smile very important!! Although I probably wouldn’t be having a plate anytime soon, i love Shave Ice so if I’m ever down there i will give it a try. I won’t let one bad experience deter me. Everyone deserves a second chance maybe next time will be better. I would love to change my rating!

Absolutely disgusting. I ordered their $7.99 2 burgers with medium drink special and it was a waste of money. I took 1 bite of that so called burger and threw the whole meal including the drink in the trash. That burger did not taste like beef. Idk what type of meat that was but it wasn’t beef or it wasn’t fresh. Also, you can’t see the person receiving the order. It’s dark, no lights are on which is weird.

Had the shaved ice. It was a simple shaved ice, just ice and syrup, but it was affordable and perfect for a really really hot day. There are a ton of flavours to choose from and u can pick three for ur shaved ice!

OMG, their food is so good it’s like home made . The place doesn’t look great but I bet it has its regular customers and definitely worth your visit. We tried this time adobo pork lunch plate, it was delicious and the portions are generous. And we love their ice cream. One of our favorite places to eat when we visit Oahu ❤️

Unassuming and good, plus they’re open at 7AM for your garlic shrimp and Mac salad craving to go picnic for nearby best beaches! Second best Mac salad I had on Oahu! They gave me double Mac salad since I like Mac salad and they were nice. Would make sure I go again when I’m back on Oahu.
