Honestly, this place is so good and I do think the price is worth it since there’s no other place like it (at least that I’ve been to and I generally am a pretty cheap person LOL) The food is so delicious and not too salty at all. The fish and chips are surprisingly huge even though we ordered the small and the fries were so good. I liked everything but would skip the bread with the salmon roe. My stand outs are the temperua veggies, so crisp and delicious and all the fish. I love the rice bowls since they were crispy from the clay pot. The creme Brulee was also divine with a strong matcha flavor. The service was very nice with our waitress checking in two/three times, making sure our water was filled, and for asking us if we’ve been there before. She also complimented my pants on the way out. I would definitely recommend this place to try for special occasions but make sure to bring a large party as the restaurant recommends to do family style so that you can try more dishes! (Also this place is $30-50 per person but my family just ordered a lot)

One of my favorite local Japanese restaurants. It’s a bit pricey, but everything is done to a high level. Nice ambience and service. They have a wide array of dishes including yakitori, udon, tempura, Japanese paella, and many other original creations. I would highly recommend their beef tongue, wagyu garlic rice, and ox tail udon, among many other dishes.

My favorite restaurant in RWC. Nice staff who remember you. A rotating menu with restaurant staples offering fresh fish, Japanese style fried food, udon, and more! A great sake menu without an obscene upcharge. Refreshing cocktails to boot! Great food for a great price!

It’s a decent restaurant. The food is good, but the flavors are on the mild side (both my friend and I felt that). I wish they had brought out our appetizers first before the entrées. They brought both of the dishes at the same time, so one was cold by the time I finished the other.

Delicious drinks and food. The sake-jito was really good. The appetizer were very appealing. Perhaps the best edamame ever? Veg tempura was crisp and not soggy. Amazing corn tempura.

As a Japanese person, I found the chicken Karaage here to be incredibly delicious. The other dishes also tasted similar to Japanese cuisine, and I enjoyed them very much. The service was also good, and I will definitely come back to eat here again.

Restaurant had a lot of open seats at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night. Lots of free street parking around here.

Update (June 2023): Oh how far things have fallen and deteriorated. The initial Japanese tapas spirit is difficult to find. Food hangs on the last remaining laurels of the original recipes. They served stale uni (that reeks of ammonia) which could make people sick. The meat was cooked without soul. Oh, and the tonkatsu simply was a pork tempura. The beef curry udon – senseless with drapes of pulled beef. This is really becoming a joke. And yes, the prices are still quite high. We won’t be returning.

Made a reservation for 5 on a Saturday night. It was decently packed, but we were seated very quickly. We ordered through the QR code which made everything super simple (you also paid through online menu).
