Decided to go have a late breakfast or brunch at Kelley’s country Cookin in Alvin, because the one in Lamarque is less than satisfactory so I drive a little further to get the better quality of food. And better service.The photos below show the food that we had shrimp Poboy, fish Poboy, and the bacon and eggs cheese omelette the waitress was cheerful and efficient. She brought us the basket of rolls and sweet, corn bread it was hot and delicious ask for Gennifer when you can keep up the good work !! Don’t forget to follow me ………

Since moving to the area we have been told to eat at Kelley’s & so we finally did!! I had a craving for biscuits & gravy. The Texas-sized biscuit was quite a surprise!! The biggest & tastiest biscuit I have ever had! I would have preferred scrambled sausage in the gravy, but the bits of pan sausage they use was not too bad. I really enjoyed it & of course had to take 1/2 back home. Just couldn’t finish the whole thing. The pancake were also Tx sized & very fluffy. Great cup of coffee, too. Service was pleasant!! Perfect price for the amount of food! Did not disappoint.

Had not been here in awhile because of slow service and food quality. Things have really changed! Quick service and back to the old days for the food. Chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken cooked just right with quality meat cut. Mashed potatoes very soft and creamy. Mac and cheese is hearty not Velveeta. Foods were spiced right and served hot.

Love this Kelly’s over all the others I’ve visited. They have awesome portions compared to the one in Pasadena, there tea is always fresh and the customer service is amazing. I got a chicken fried chicken which came with three sides. I chose carrots, which were the most amazing carrots I ever ate. I also got there green beans and mashed potatoes. I love the baked squash but that was on the menu this day. Please give them a try if you’re in the area. You wont be disappointed.

I love to go here for good home style cooking. Their rolls are worth the trip. Breakfast is great and huge biscuits before 11:00. Rolls after 11:00. Lots of vegetables to select from. Worth the drive to me.
