We stopped by for dinner at 7:00 on a Thursday. It wasn’t too busy, but there were four or so other tables seated. Service was friendly and we got to pick where we sat. Our waters were full and the food came out very timely. Overall the food was really good. I really enjoyed the garlic naan and the chicken biryani. The portions are great for the price. We got an appetizer and two meals and took home three boxes of food. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Loved this place! If I am not wrong as of now this was the only indian buffet open during Sundays. On weekdays there are a few indian buffets around. I was glad that they offered a buffet. Option were good for vegetarian and non-veg. Jlyk paneer Nice buffet for $15 before tax. The food tasted good as well. Over the phone guy was a bit rude when I called and asked for what they have for veg and non veg options on that day. Actually, he hung up on me. We still went there cause we wanted indian this time.

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in the Des Moines metro. Restaurant is extremely clean, staff is very friendly and attentive, and food is delicious. Highly recommend you try Kathmandu for yourself.

Oh my gosh, this place is so good!!! I’m obsessed with dumplings from all over the world–especially momos! I got the sauce on the side instead of having the soup momos which is served in a boat of sauce. I got a second side of sauce and that was plenty! You don’t want to compromise the flavor of the filling, you just want to enhance it!

Clean restaurant and attentive staff. This is an important quality that many underestimate and is just as important as the food. I enjoyed my platter and went with the spicy Tika Misala and Samosas. Tastes authentic and delicious.

We went here with family for lunch on. Sunday afternoon. They kept buffet. It was crowded as it was peak time of lunch but we quickly got a seat with no waiting. They have variety of food in buffet – basmati plain rice, chicken legs, chicken Manchurian, chicken gravy, naan , pattice salad chutneys pickles Chana masala, mix veg , cauliflower Gulab jam, pudding, variety of ice creams, variety of cold drinks etc . I had veg Chana masala and cauliflower and rice and salad which was sufficient for veg guy, family members had non vegetarian food chicken legs . All food is less oily. So if you are health cautious this is good. Final review we would give it’s all a very good and worth the money and it’s pocket friendly. It’s a friendly restaurant and we will visit again

The food was nice. Super fast service! Spices in the byriani seemed to be crushed because I kept getting chunks of cardamon and cinnamon which is not entirely appetizing. It’s a nicer experience when the spices are in a tea ball or sachet so they can be removed after cooking, or at least left whole so they are easily identifiable. Rice was sticky, maybe a bit over cooked.

Went here for the lunch buffet and it was delicious. Nice variety of food choices, including chai tea, and ice cream. The Tika masala was especially good. Loved how friendly all the staff were as well. Will definitely return!

Breathtakingly delicious food with abundant vegetarian and vegan options. Warm and cozy atmosphere, very laid-back and gentle. Customizable spice options are A+. I’d take any veg friends or family here in a heartbeat and plan on returning often.
