Ok, so I was just bragging up Kate’s North to co-workers. They have amazing fish tacos on Fridays! Well, I went to day and the fish tacos were different than last week. Last time I got them, the fish was amazing, smaller pieces. It also came with a side of sauce (I’m not sure what it was, but it was good, teriyaki maybe?) This week, there is no side of sauce, the fish is in huge pieces, very hard to eat on a taco and sparing amounts of slaw and cheese. I was really disappointed (and a little embarrassed) after telling co-workers about my great lunch last week. I also ordered a small order of portobello mushroom caps. While the portion size was great, they were very burnt. It’ll be awhile before I spend another $15 for lunch at Kates 🙁

The service was not very great. The staff was on their phones the whole time we were there and making themselves ice cream drinks. Also the chili was pretty flavorless, the bun was hard and the fries we most likely bought from the store and not make that day. This is the third time we have been here and the first two times we we’re not waited on. The only positive thing I have to say is the cheese curds we’re good.

We have been there three times this summer and have had to wait over 20 minutes on two of those occasions to receive any service. They weren’t busy enough to warrant the wait and one of those occasions we waited an additional 20 minutes to get our ice cream, the only thing we ordered. I want this place to succeed and feel like some of their staff need to be taught the importance of customer service and wait times. We are there to support a local business in a small town, the staff should do their part to make the experience a good one.

The food was fabulous! Nothing like when I was a kid. I ordered the BBQ Pork sandwich and FF. The sandwich comes on a Talame style bun, piled with sweet juicy pulled pork, bacon, sweet coleslaw, and real cheddar. The fries were great too but the sandwich was outstanding!

Service was adequate, food was mediocre. The waitress seemed to be pushing us to leave long before we were done eating, repeatedly asking if she could clear anything off our table. The kids didn’t love their chicken strip meals. The cheese curds were just okay,the same goes for the malt. The 1919 rootbeer was good. The bill was over $25 for 2 kids meals, small cheese curds, and a malt. I think we were overcharged. We might consider stoping back for just a cone or to try a take-home Kate’s Pizza.

Food was ok. Service was terrible. I parked and waited about 5 minutes and my wife and I walked up to the door and stood there waiting as staff stared at us, walking by without saying anything to us. Went back to our car abd waited some more. I got up and walked back up to the door as the staff all just looked at me. I kind of loudly asked whether we order at a window or in my car and the waitress said she didn’t see me. My car was pulled forward in the parking spot about 5 feet more than the vehicle “blocking” me and the same waitress and I made eye contact roughly 8 minutes prior as she was serving another vehicle. Also 2 other customers got out of their cars and asked where they order because it takes so incredibly long for them to come to your car. Super disappointed and not coming back. Awful service.

Placed my order, waitress was new but did good, received our drinks proptly. But the food that followed behind our drinks 2 mins later was poorly cooked. Burger was red and turning the whole bun red from the blood/juice, the tenders we ordered also camr about 3/4 cooked. Decent serive but wouldnt recommend to anyone.

First time here. The burger was still pink inside but at the same time the burger and bun were both very dry though tasted good. The chili cheese dog was on a hoagie bun, too much bun and not enough chili!
