Lunch at Kasei on our last day in Ellijay was a wonderful experience. The fish was some of the freshest I have had in recent years. We were served by the owner, himself, and very well taken care of. The sushi was really good! I was amazed that they even had bluefin tuna, which I had not had for many years in America. I wish I could go back to Kasei again right now! Looking forward to going back there again on our next trip to Ellijay.

Biggest Shrimp EVER!!! Love this place it’s become my “must do” every weekend that I spend in Ellijay…….Get a “Lucky Cat” and hangout with Audrey at the bar and enjoy the gilligans island reruns on the tv ! Food is awesome , fresh and a beautiful presentation!

Updated to post a photo of their hours in case you are making the drive (their website shows different hours). The best sushi within a 60 mile radius…I drive this distance just for the sushi. The fish is very fresh, the chef is very serious about quality. I do wish they would allow takeout. I’d order extra to take home for midnight snacks if I could.

Went with wife and kids and we ordered a bunch of sushi and apps and everything came out perfect. Wait staff was great, will be back!

Waited 45 min for an appetizer. Was only 3 other tables in there and they was all there before we got there. Then limited sushi options and took over an hour to get our sushi. I asked whats taking so long and literally said still working on other tables. Then both our oder came on same plate. Sushi shouldn’t take over an hour busy or not

Very nice little sushi restaurant with many kinds of fresh fish. Waitress was extremely kind and was willing to have a nice conversation. The chef’s food was PHENOMONAL and the display was also neat and pretty.

Absolutely top notch service! The atmosphere and food were perfect! We will definitely be back! Had the deluxe charashi and the una don. Also enjoyed the tamago and some very fresh tuna!

Loved the place and were super friendly. Until we told them my brother has celiac and has a severe allergy to gluten and can’t have soy sauce. When we asked if the salmon roe had soy sauce we were told no 6 times. I tried it for him after he had some and sure enough definitely coated in soy sauce. They went back to check and it was marinated in soy sauce. The server shrugged it off and treated us like jokes. We explained how serious it was after and she laughed after we walked away. Terrible, pathetic and should not be in the food service industry if you are going to laugh about a food allergy someone has not control over. DO NOT GO IF YOU HAVE ANY FOOD ALLERGY THEY WILL MOT CHECK UNTIL YOU HAVE SAID NO MULTIPLE TIMES. Going to kill or hurt someone over laziness
