I was hesitant to leave this review because every place can have a bad day. I convinced my husband to tey this place because he loves jerk chicken. We had an impromptu mid day lunch date to try it out. I had the ribs and he had the jerk chicken. My ribs were fine. His chicken was undercooked and I’m glad he saw it before he bit into it. As you can imagine, being served the raw food caused him to lose his appetite. He returned to the counter, showed them the chicken and asked for a refund. They told him there were no refunds. The owner apologized profusely and did refund the money, so I appreciate that. It just wasn’t a good first experience.

The food was great ! We got oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage and jerk ribs. Sadly they were out of jerky Turkey wings but due to their large menu it wasn’t too much of an issue.

My hubby and I tried them for the first time tonight. He ordered the ox tail platter which comes with rice&peas and cabbage. I ordered the 1/4 jerked white meat chicken and the roasted ribs with mac-n-cheese and cabbage. We added coco bread and plantains! When I tell y’all EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!!! I’m here to tell you…EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back. This is our new go to restaurant for good food. I also ordered a slice of cake. We shared the slice while we waited for our dinner to be packaged. Oh, the staff were nice as well.

This is by far one of the worst places I have been to in the Waldorf. I thought from the first visit almost a year ago was because it was a fairly new place. A family of three was in front of me and after about 20 mins of waiting, their food was brought out to them. As I sat and waited, four more patrons came in, ordered, and got their food before I did. My wife ordered food at another place (which was getting cold as we waited) so I asked about my order after approximately 30 min of waiting. The young lady at the register asked the kitchen workers about my order and the response was “I still have to make the egg rolls.” I decided to leave, go pick up my wife’s food (which took all of 7 minutes) and come back. Upon my return, my order was still not ready. Maybe I am wrong for not asking to speak to a manager but in any event, I WILL not be frequenting this place anymore.

Tried this for the first time, visiting Maryland and baby everything was delicious! I usually don’t order Mac and cheese from every restaurant because everybody just can’t cook Mac for real. But this place did not disappoint. The jerk turkey wings, Mac, yams, greens, and cabbage….all of it was so good. I wish they had peach cobbler cause I’m sure that would have been good too. This is definitely my spot from now on when I come visit!

This Caribbean restaurant is awesome, and it all starts with the owner/mother. Next the cooks are superb and last are the cashiers these ladies work the front line they are really sweet .. Now, Let’s talk about the food my favorite is the most popular item is the jerk chop chicken, my second favorite meal is the ox tails they’re the best in Southern Maryland and finally my third favorite item is the smoked chicken you gotta try it..

I went in at about 12:30 on a Sunday. I was the only patron in the restaurant. I was greeted by a friendly staff member who took my order. I was a little sticker shocked at the menu as every item appeared over 20 dollars. I requested spicy food and the attendant suggested anything jerk or Rasta on the menu. I got the chicken Rasta and got the shrimp. I was up-sold on extra sauce and I got a water bottle. I ate in the dining room, which added a 15% service charge. I also tipped because I pretty much always do when I see that screen. I ended up spending something in the order of $35 for the meal. The food was excellent and I enjoyed it even though it was not as spicy as I had hoped. The restaurant is set up as a fast casual, but it was pretty clear that the food took longer to make than would typically lend itself to that model. I was a little annoyed at how long it took to get my food, but once I got it I understood how a made to order dish like that would take 10-15 min. Overall, the food is great, but the high price, unnecessary fees, and mismatched order to table times for a fast casual concept make this a difficult restaurant to recommend.

This is my 2nd time eating their food. I always order their curry chicken with rice and peas. With other places, I notice their rice and peas taste dry and old, but here, it’s always moist, fresh and hot!! If you haven’t came here already, you’re missing out!!!
