The food is excellent. Our waitress Maya compliments is like a cherry on top of a pile of ice cream. She takes care of us and is always there to help reccomend something new. Come for the food, and if you get a chance, stay for the people!

The food is always good. The staff is friendly. We eat here at least once a week. They only have take out right now as the pandemic has been going on for 7 months. I will continue to support them as this is best place in Sparta, NC to eat.

My husband and I just left from having our evening meal at Kanpai Japanese Restaurant in Sparta Mountain, the service was outstanding, the food was hot and fresh. I was disappointed with this visit. Service was slow. After taking our drink order it took about 10 minutes to get our drinks and place our order. When ee received our food the portions seemed skimpy compared to past visits. Hopefully part of the problem was that they were busy bit appeared to be under staffed. But that does not explain the portions.

The food is good…. Just not enough there for the money you spend. For 20 dollars I expect to have leftovers to take home.. Here….. Well, I’m still not full after my food is gone. I will be going back and when I do, I’ll review it again. Unfortunately it closed down.

We ordered teriyaki chicken and sushi for takeout. The sushi was quite good and tasted fresh. The chicken was very good, the chicken and vegetables are served on a big pile of fried rice with a side of carrots, and soup and salad. We requested 2 soups (with no salad) because the soup is great!

Just got done eating here and the food was delicious…only complaint I have is they don’t serve enough rice with your meal. I had to order another side order of rice which I shared with my children and still wasn’t enough but we made it work. Lots of meat though…would eat here again if in the area. I had ordered the teriyaki chicken and shrimp.

Best Japanese restaurant within 100 miles of Sparta! Nothing ive tried wasnt good! Vast selection, very reasonably priced and the sweet usual waitress is the best! Highly recommend, you will not be sorry!!
