One of the best choices on Cal Ave for healthy, tasty, low key no-frills food. Vegetarian and vegan options. Get your favorite choice in a tasty fresh wrap, in a bowl, or on rice. A nice selection of appetizers. Good Greek coffee. And of course that super quiet awesome Cal Ave outdoor seating.

For such a small place, Kali Greek Kitchen makes a huge impression, and it takes a LOT to impress me. Been here twice so far within a week and I will return again and again. Excellent food at reasonable prices. First time I came, I had the beef rice plate – the beef was still pink in the middle which is so unheard of at Greek restaurants! The cucumber salad had just the right amount of ingredients for each flavor and the rice had a wonderful salt flavor to it without being over salted. The second time I came, I got the same plate, but with the sea bass instead of beef and OH MY GODDESS was it cooked to perfection! I am picky about fish which is sooo easy to over cook. I was so impressed that I was comfortable bringing my partner here who is a Chef with a lot of experience in Mediterranean cuisine, and therefore very picky about his Greek – even he cleaned his bowl! I highly recommend!

Excellent Greek restaurant that has well prepared and health conscious food – you’ll leave here feeling great and happy with the amazing food and service. This spot specializes in pita wraps, salad, and plates of rotisserie meats (beef, chicken, lamb, and others). The vegetables are fresh, the meat is excellent and not pumped with tons of garbage and salt. It was excellent.

Update for dinner June 2023 – stopped by for dinner on a Friday evening. Cal Ave is still blocked off to traffic, so there are lots of restaurants, including Kali Greek Kitchen, that have outdoor dining (indoor also available). We had the fish salad, Kali Feast (comes with 1 chicken skewer, 1 beef skewer, lamb, rotisserie potatoes, pita and tzatziki) and a zucchini fritters. The food is still delicious and good for a quick meal.

Great food. Super kind team. Very cute joint. Very clean restrooms. And that says a lot. Highly recommend it for its fast delivery to the table with great quality of food. We love mediterranean flavors, and it is great to have it with such easy access. And such a humble flair of people. Really loved their vibe. Indoors and outdoor space to seat so we like it for a fast bite during the week or a more relaxed one on a Sunday enjoying people walking by. A must if you are in the area. And of course… remember…. when you eat local joints, you protect your community’s economy. Thanks.

This is a delightful little restaurant. The food is quite good, and the prices are very fair. They even have lamb shank (one of my favorites). My partner is a picky eater and she loved her dishes. We ordered from an outside display thing that seemed a bit impersonal but had the advantage of being immediately accessible – no waiting for a busy server to take our order. The staff is very pleasant.

A good and reliable place to get lunch. I like their zucchini fritters rice plate and their food quality is solid. I mostly prefer to get takeout here but they do have indoor and streetside seating. Slightly more expensive than comparable options in the area.
