Authentic German food, and being in New Ulm, Shells beer. We tried the sour kraut balls and they were better than I thought they would be. I had the Jaeger Schnitzel with a spaetzel noodle soup. It was good not great but good. My wife had the kaiserhoff German sampler with kaiserhoff ribs, landjaeger, bratwurst, red cabbage, German potato salad, and sour kraut. She enjoyed everything but really liked the potato salad and the red cabbage. It was a good experience and the waitress was outstanding

I was in town visiting some family, and apparently this is The place to go to for a nice dinner. We drove to downtown New Ulm, checked out the evening cuckoo clock show, and got seated right at reservation time.

This is the place for German food! Went with another couple. I am not really a German food fan, but they had a sirloin steak on the menu. It was listed at “market price” which made me nervous but it ended up being $17.99. It was good. No complaints, and they cooked it correctly.

We ordered the ribs-good, not great and the Vienna schnitzel-good, not great. Presentation was nothing special. The mushroom gravy and spatzel were wonderful. The restaurant needs some sprucing up.

Food was very good. Ordered familiar favorites. Great retro jukebox playing music from eras gone by! Service was good, however, our waitress and other staff were conversing loudly with other patrons and each other during our entire time there. Seated in the bar area but no one at the bar. Next visit I will choose the dining room for a more relaxing atmosphere.

The food was good, nothing crazy delicious but good. The service was quick but the service charge seemed high. The atmosphere was dated, they could have really gone all out with the German theme but it’s like a German meets Wisconsin dive bar.
