After being open for nearly a year, Kaido, Brad Kilgore’s Asian-inspired hotspot is ready to release the 2.0 version of its cocktail menu. Nico de Soto is still the man behind the menu, while Zabdi Cobon helms the bar day-to-day. Keeping with the Asian theme, the new cocktail menu features riffs on classic cocktails like the Nikkei Sour is a pisco based sour made with chicha morada, lemon juice, egg glair, yuzu bitters, and nori. It tastes just as pretty as it looks, as it’s served in a traditional masu cup and delicately decorated.

Beautiful unique design in the heart of the Miami Design District. Focused menu of delicious bites – I highly recommend the Arancini! If you are particularly lucky to visit the back room bar you’re in for a treat surrounded by never seen before decor while sipping delicious craft cocktails!

After a reservation we had to wait an hour to get seated. If you are going with more than two people do not waste your time. Tables are crammed and the place is really small. We spent $100 on subpar food and we are still hungry. Not worth the money or the wait.

My fiance took me to Kaido for our anniversary. He wanted to take me to a new place. Saw good reviews so he decided to give them a try. We are so happy he did!!!

We were a party of six. We ordered the ten-course izakaya tasting menu, and we added several other dishes. Everything was delicious, but the sushi was standout. The fish was obviously quite fresh, and the kitchen’s control of texture and their sense of the rhythm of the meal was on point.

LOVE this place. Architecturally this place is before its time. cutting edge design, conceptually beyond thoughtful, details layered on details. The cocktails were well balanced, creative and delicious. The food is pure bliss. high quality ingredients, used in a thoughtful but playful manner and executed flawlessly. portions were perfect to get the night started and we cannot wait to go back to try the tasting menu.

After very much hearing from selected magazines and social media posts, I am very disappointed with the concept. Very small crowded space and food lacks not only portion size but taste. We were greeted by the hostess and were unable to sit at a table due to the small space. We decided to sit outside after being pushed . Very distasteful crass management in my opinion not accommodating and and slightly rude . Not only that poor customer service as our waiter was (not attentive and was on her phone half the time ) and kept up selling us on mediocre dishes. The fondue was the highlight however besides that I found the chicken wings pretty distasteful for a higher end place they project. I definitely will not be coming back.

had dinner here last night with my wife for Valentines Day. Upon arrival, we were told there were no tables available inside for our reservation we made. Had to audible and sit at the bar. Bar tender was cool, and glass of wine was good. After we ordered, a table conveniently became available that was empty the whole time. Annoying to say the least. Then the food started to come. Small portions and each trying too hard. I ordered about 10 dishes. After dish 3 came we decided to leave. The fish smelled, the organization was awful, and by the time the King Crab came it was tough and also smelly. Sad we didn’t make it to the A5 Waygu beef. Wonder how that would of been . In the end the restaurant charged me $130 as a consolation for this horrible experience. Not sure why i paid a nickel .
