Came to Kai’s on a Monday night. We had great seats with a view of the ocean. Location was the key here. The food and service was so so. Not the best pizza on the island. They have a ton of great beer on tap. It seemed like our server was impatient with us (party of 7 with kiddos). We did catch this awesome double rainbow photo while we were there. Go for the location and get just a beer, it won’t disappoint. If you want killer pizza, go to Kona Brewing!

I honestly had low expectations since it seemed like a touristy restaurant and several of the restaurants on the strip owned by the same company, but I was pleasantly surprised. The waiter told me pizzas are half off after 8pm (I’m not sure if that is everyday or was a limited special).

This restaurant is one of my local favorites! I recently went there to film a video about the top 5 restaurants that serve the most delicious tacos and Kais had to be on the list! The fish tacos that we ordered were fresh and delicious. Every time we come here, the staff makes sure to seat us right away and the food is always a hit. I bring friends and clients to this restaurant all of the time so that they can enjoy good food and amazing views of the ocean. Our favorite thing to order is definitely their burgers and pizzas. They have delicious salads as well and their dessert menu is to die for! I am a big fan of this restaurant and will highly recommend to any of my family, friends and clients!

Stopped here for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The place was not very busy around 7:30. I got the triple smash burger with a side of sweet potato waffle fries. It was pretty good and tasted well. I would recommend that. My wife got the fish tacos with (fresh caught mahi mahi) which lacked salt for our taste. The black beans that came with it were very good

The Avo tacos were good with added vegan beef crumble 9/10 the shrimp was amazing 10/10, the Koa chicken was 4/10 coleslaw 0/10, sweet potato 10/10, black were okay kinda sweet 1/10, the Moscow island mule was 10/10, the house beer pilsner was 8/10, but a fly swam inside the drink and my friend couldn’t drink it. The water was 10/10 very refreshing, the view was gorgeous and the closer you are, the better. Fresh air, Nice waiters and host. There is plenty of parking and it is also wheelchair accessible which is a thumbs up. I hurt my leg at the volcano so wheelchair accessible activities and locations is a big must.

We went for dinner and thought it was okay with great views. The nachos with chicken were good but not worth $28. I really enjoyed the Kai Fries, which were lemon salted fries with chimichurri on the side, best thing we had. I ordered the mahi mahi Baja style tacos which were decent but bland, again, not worth the price. The pizza and burgers looked good, I’d probably try either of those if I went back. The server was friendly and the food came out quick. Cool spot, decent food.

Beautiful views. But man, the seasoning on the food must of been toned way down. The mango pizza had so much promise but lacked any depth of flavor. The swordfish also didn’t seem to have any seasoning and the rice was unfortunately undercooked and crunchy. The service and view were great. But food tasted like it was from a chain restuarant. Not bad, but not great.

I like this place a lot. We stopped for lunch and I got only Luau Pizza. I was open for something different and it was tasty! I wasn’t ready for how big the pizza was, I took half of it home! Dad’s burger came with a neat branding of the restaurant logo on top of the bun. Wife said the gluten free hamburger bun was good. Daughter enjoyed the quesadilla, ever the favorite for kids across the US (and the world?). Seating is open air and covered or umbrellas, so it’s not too sunny with nice airflow. Seating is at tables, booths, and the bar. There is a huge selection of beers and cider on tap. They also have wine and cocktails. The mai tai was so good that my mom ordered a second. You can watch them toss the pizzas and go through the fire oven. Look for the bubbles out front. Easy parking in the adjacent garage. Clean bathrooms. Super friendly server who checked in often enough. Pet friendly, I presume because of the water bowls out front. Ocean front views with sights and sounds of the crashing waves. What more could you want in life?
