We can’t believe this place is so close to us and yet we missed a couple of years not discovering this place and this kind of food. Wow what a great way to be introduced to Afghan food. I don’t usually eat spicy food but OMG their food is sooo amazing. My son is addicted to this place, the food is delicious, very friendly staff, very nice ambience. Highly recommended. Everyone should experience this place especially if you’re flying out of Dulles Airport. It’s literally waking distance from the metro. I can’t wait for my other son to come to this place and bring his colleagues since their office is so close. They will be so happy to discover this place. Sooooo GOOD!

The chicken lunch special is pretty good. Nice and tender. Naan bread was also decent. Ice cream was very good, the crushed nuts and whatever they add ( don’t know the name haha) adds good texture

Amazing food. The lamb was amazingly tender and juicy. We loved the banjan borani which is an eggplant dish (I generally don’t like eggplant), lamb lawand and kabuli pallow. The ferni dessert is a must try too.

This place should be full all the time. This is the classic “don’t judge a book by its cover” place. Which is to say don’t be fooled by the sparse interior, go for the food. I’ve only been a few times (office nearby and visiting from abroad), but I love every bite of everything I eat here. Excellent lamb dishes, excellent vegetarian dishes, great service, and a beer selection I’ve not seen anywhere else. Will come again next time I’m in town. I literally smiled and laughed at the great tastes.

Service was a bit delayed but the taste of food made up for it. Pricey compared to other kabab places in the area.

One of my all time favorite places to eat! The food is AMAZING! Very comforting. There are plenty of options for my vegetarian husband and picky son. I love the lamb and get it every chance I get. The atmosphere is comfortable and family friendly and the service is always top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Visited Kabobi with family for the first time. Amazing quality and seasoned meats. Rice and sides were good. Hoping they introduce “white sauce” soon 😉

I went in around 8:50. About 40 minutes before closing. I was the only customer. I was greeted very kindly, the service was good, with exception of the lights being dimmed around 9:05, as a sign the place was closing. I ordered seekh kabob, assuming that it was ground meat. My mistake for not reading the details of the menu, but i have ordered seekh kabob hundreds of times in many authentic restaurants and it’s always minced meat. Google it. Anyways, i accepted my error and proceeded with eating it. It was the toughest meat i have had. Taste was there, not the texture. The rice was good, so was the turnip. The Chicken Samosas felt like were made from box of frozen empanadas.

The food is very delicious. The menu let’s you explore Afghani cuisine by offering authentic dishes like Shalgum, Okra, callow rice, and Kabuli Pulao. The kabobs are juicy and tender as well. Fresh tandoori bread is a delight.
