We chose this because of it is full of local cars at lunchtime. Very clearly a local type of place. I saw multiple people come in who recognize others that were already seated and everyone stopped eating to give each other. Hugs or say hello, etc.

Nice flavors and portions! The stuffed sopa with red is a favorite. There are multiple rules posted on the walls, don’t touch blinds, don’t move tables, don’t touch TV… wondering what goes on here on the regular

Not real fast service, but only one waitress doing tables and the counter. And it was busy around noontime. So by the time we got the food everything was warm to cooled off. The flavor was good, not great, but could be because of it cooling off?

I haven’t been to JV’s in nearly 20 years. It is nice to come in and see the same beautiful, happy young women running the restaurant. The food is as good as I remember the beef chalupa is my favorite but definitely not for the weak. It is spicy!

Good food, somewhat long wait but understandable as they were busy and food isn fresh. They don’t have sopapillas which is odd for a NM restaurant that serves Mexican food… it was a disappointment as we were craving them. Not a bad place to stop at if you’re going thriving Chama.

I just had the green chili cheeseburger, it was great. The chili was hot and flavorful, the meat was cooked perfectly, and I didn’t have to wait long. There was so much food that I couldn’t finish. Like the governator said “I’ll be back”
