I first heard of this place from a PBS show called Backroad Bites. Juniper sources their ingredients locally and are known for their corn chowder. It was amazing. The dishes were seasoned perfectly, with the natural flavors of a diverse set of ingredients taking center stage. Id say the dishes had more of a focus on quality rather than getting a ton of food for cheap. I left feeling full but still able to walk around and enjoy the Peach Tree 23 yard sale.

A must experience… put your phone down, enjoy your company, and be patient. The amazing food will arrive, and you will be more than satiated.

Stopped by for lunch today at Juniper’s and it was great! The atmosphere was a nice country feeling. The corn chowder was absolutely fantastic and so were the sandwiches. Definitely wanting to come back for dinner. Their menu changes for lunch and dinner.

Food was great! The only thing I would recommend is getting an ice maker and not putting the scoop back in the ice over and over. Food was a bit pricey but it was good!

This is hands down our favorite restaurant in this area – very worth the short drive from Aiken. The food is stellar and they are very accommodating for those with allergies or intolerances. The shrimp and grits are the best ever, the corn chowder is a not so secret favorite of anyone who we’ve ever taken (even in summer), and the house salad has the absolute best blue cheese vinaigrette and fresh made bacon bits on it. Almost forgot – the crab cakes are legit too, and the rueben is delicious – not things that the South is known for (Chef Brandon is originally from Maryland…I typically don’t trust crabcakes from anywhere but MD). We have been to events they have catered and also had them cater our wedding – I can honestly say their food quality completely translated to catering and 7 years later people are still telling us they need to come to SC to go to Juniper because the food at our wedding was so good. And the planning aspect was easy, straightforward, and there no surprises. Our menu tasting was one of my favorite dinners we have had there. 10/10 recommend.

Cute quaint restaurant. Grilled Pimento and back cheese sandwich with corn chowder soup was amazing. The staff was very helpful as well!

Can’t really say this is a place I’ll ever go to again! I would have went somewhere else but I was absolutely starving! I just don’t see how a sandwich with a side of potato salad, a sandwich with potato chips and 2 teas is worth $40. The sandwich wasn’t even that good and that’s saying a lot cause everything taste better when you’re starving!

Great dining experience. Food was delicious and the atmosphere is pleasing. Everyone spoke to everyone, not just your party at the table. The potato salad, blackeyed pea salad is a must to try. Be sure to get dessert and stay a while. Shoot!!! The drinks are in mason jars just like my Daddy drinks from…

For lunch or dinner, Juniper is a great choice! Lunch is order at the counter, dinner is table service. Reservations for dinner are recommended in my experience. My favorite part of the dinner experience is that you can choose to get a half order of any entrée so I mix and match and get to try two different awesome items.
