Kid’s play area; adequate parking; not welcoming. Open sign off. When inquired if open No one responded. Was not greeted upon entry. However, the host/manager seemed friendly. Shrimp & grits look great. Sweet potato pie is not great. Food flavor is OK. Clean. Properly staffed. The area does not offer much, so it may be 1 of the best options

The service is great, friendly and helpful. I do appreciate them checking the orders before you leave. I do have to say that the seasoning is hit or miss. If you like salted fried (like most people) check them before you leave. Also, the Cole Slaw seems to have lost its flavor as well. Not sure if it’s because the Main Street crew left, but someone needs to be tasting this stuff. I wish the place was more consistent and I could raise my score. But right now, I can’t.

Went out with friends to this restaurant. Was dying for seafood gumbo. That was not what I received. It was not at all a gumbo and very little seafood. More like a tomato-based dish with a few shrimp thrown in for the seafood part of the order. The only redeeming quality was the spoonful of rice in the middle and the packaged Saltine crackers. Had I not been with friends I would have sent this back and left. DO NOT go here for seafood. Try McDonald’s instead. Save money and get better quality food.

We got the fried seafood platter for two. The fried okra was perfection. The hush puppies, scallops, oysters, shrimp, and clam strips were good. The fish was okay and you only get one piece each with the platter. I didn’t like the deviled crab at all. The green beans pictured here were fine but nothing to write home about. We also got fried mushrooms which were okay. Based on this evaluation, I will not get the platter again but I will go back for particular dishes. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We adore regional eateries. In the neighborhood of Calahan, this seafood restaurant was quite well-liked. We came to town to attend the burial of a close friend, and several of us made plans to get together for lunch after the service.
