Went to Jun tonight. Sat at the bar, seating is extremely limited and I can’t see how any large parties could be accommodated. The board was amazing with the house made country pate and the oysters with pickled mango were fantastic. The beef tartar was perhaps the best ever. The salmon was good but I could seriously be happy with the board and tartar. For dessert we all agreed the tapioca was the winner. The donuts were good, but not outstanding. I’d never turn down donuts. The wine list is good and the cocktails fantastic. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.

My husband and I went for dinner on Saturday night back in March. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and because it is not very large it was relatively quite inside. It still had a great vibe but it was nice being able to easily hear your dinner partner. We got:

My wife and I had the opportunity to try Jun. Initially I was a little hesitant because thier menu was unique to me. I can only best describe the menu as a Asian Latin fusion food which I have never tried. Luckily my daughter encouraged me to try the restaurant and keep an open mind. I am so happy I listen to her.

Great evening. The ambience is very well appointed. The food was very good and the service was well done. My husband and I shared the in-house cured meat board. I really enjoyed the bread that comes with this. My husband ordered the fried chicken which was delicious and I ordered the sweet potato which was very good. I really like the fact that they have a large wine list by the glass. My biggest pet peeve is when restaurants have a very short list of wines by the glass and typically they’re never the good ones. Overall a very good experience and will definitely be back.

April 29: Brilliant. All of the dishes including cocktails have some unique flavors of ingredients pairing that tickle your taste buds and senses. House made pickles were fresh and towards the mild side of pickling – not salty. Oysters with fermented mango were charred with a food torch and tasted really good – only complaint – the adductor muscles were very hard to get off the shell – wish they could have done that while shucking. The carrots – many reviews talk about this transcendental dish – it is all that. Just get it you won’t regret it. Squash with eggplant puree and black rice was yet another hit. While the whole branzino was generally good, it was our least favorite – the flavors overwhelmed the fish, and trended towards salty – it’s the first dish we felt the balance was off. Tapioca dessert and Nuegados (donuts) were remarkable, so were the Michelada and Thai One On cocktails. Outstanding service by Miguel – the vibe of waitstaff was relaxed, calm and professional.

Loved the peanuts, oysters, sweet potato and carrots. On bigger dishes, salmon and fried chicken were fine – I’d like to go back and try some of the other items. Loved the black sesame cocktail – very different and savory. Fabulous ambiance for a date night or dinner with friends.
