Mexican cuisine is a favorite, and Julio’s in Clendenin is a new favorite location for authentic taste. The salsa and dips are homemade and taste like it. I simply couldn’t get enough! The chile relleno and accompanying sauce was delicious, and my made to order quesadillas the same. Pico de gallo and especially the guacamole dip were fantastic sides and, of course, made in-house.

Had a lovely dinner I had Pina De Vela Cruz (I think) it was very filling and yummy. Was surprised that it was served in 1/2 pineapple.

Stopped here in September 2020 on a road trip from Texas to New Jersey. This place has some of the BEST mexican food I’ve ever had, for real! Rice and beans were so flavorful and the margaritas were massive. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I will definitely be coming back if I’m ever in West Virginia again.

Walked in with a positive attitude, excited to see the new restaurant in Clendenin. However the whole experience was an extreme turn off. Waited 10+ min for a table which was no big deal. Once I was seated we waited a very lengthy time just to get a drink while listening to the table behind us grumble about slow service. We then had to wait 20+ min before I eventually flagged down a waiter and asked if we even had a waiter. She then informed us that she guessed she’d be our waiter. We waited another hour or so for food. When it got there my order was wrong and when I eventually got the right order it was cold. Then when we waited another 20 minutes after we’d finished eating for the check which never came even after I tried to wave down the waitress multiple times so eventually we got up and went to the front to ask for our check. Overall they had way to many customers for such a small and slow staff. Maybe in a few months once they get more seasoned it’d be better but for now I wouldn’t bother.

This isn’t my normal spot. But its my one of my top favs. The food is delicious and anyone that complains, needs a 2nd meal. Only down fall margritas ice is like a Eskimo chipped away at an iceberg with a dull sledge hammer. Straws are useless and your teeth better be sharp.

Hidden gem on Elk River. I will be back. They have the best salsa I’ve tried in a Mexican restaurant. My fajitas were awesome. My husband’s food was good, and my parents seemed happy with theirs.

Food was hot because of a microwave. You could here the beeping. Rice was hard beans are from a can. Stake tacos had a funny taste . I just hope I dont get sick.. flys flying around the tabel while we try eat. The menu book was dirty. The dipping chips and sauces had a bleach taste. Place needs cleaned. The walls have Mark’s of dirt and food.

We waited for food for almost an hour, once it arrived the order was wrong 3 times. The lady servers were rude and told my mother “our table was gross”. The bill was over 50 dollars and the chicken with the Fajitas mom ordered was under cooked. Why pay more than 50 bucks for horrible service?
