The most delicious and authentic Czech food you‘ll find outside of Bohemia! (The chef is Czech.) Very much worth traveling for. Beautiful and unique interior and friendly staff.

I love the new Sunday brunch menu from 10-2. Lovely, warm atmosphere and attentive service, deep comfy booths. Their house made pierogis were delicious and had a nice light skin. I’ve had my fair share of good pierogis and these were top tier. They were served with dill and and a good balance of apple sauce & sour cream. The beet and spinach salad had a great dressing. I’m glad to have a much needed new brunch spot in town! I even stopped by their Bazaar afterwards and got a cute pair of earrings.

The absolutely worst breakfast I have ever had in my life. They don’t even know how to make eggs over easy.. and your choice of toast is stale rye bread.. there was ten of us someone got the French toast bake absolutely disgusting,, pierogies under cook with no flavor. Potato lackey’s again no flavor.. I can go on and on but no reason my best bet to anyone do not go there it’s definitely not a professional cook..I know I am one

I popped by Judd’s for the first time this past Thursday night and it happened to he Vinyl night. The atmosphere is really mellow and the music was fun. Dark lighting (which I love) and really interesting decor. Beautiful wood bar. It’s a higher priced bar for Holyoke. It feels very much like a hip Northampton joint. The restaurant hasn’t opened yet. I did have the tapenade and it was much more garlicky than olivey and I didn’t care for it. Hopefully, they rework the recipe on that. They have a full bar with higher-end wines. You’re looking at about $8 to $10 a glass. Beers are microbews. I’m definitely going to go back when the restaurant opens.

We really wanted to love this place. The cocktails were good and the space was cozy on a chilly fall evening. Unfortunately, our server took forever getting drinks, disappeared several times before taking our order, and, at one point, seemed to be arguing with the bartender. When our food arrived, I was given schnitzel rather than the pork roll I had ordered. The bartender came over after I pointed this out, then walked away without the schnitzel and came back several minutes later to tell me the kitchen was out of pork roll. At that point, he announced he would comp the schnitzel as if this settled the matter. First off, it’s not really comping to leave something the diner never ordered. Second, I avoid wheat. That said, I was hungry enough to scrape the breading off the schnitzel and eat the dry, bland bit of fatty pork underneath. My daughter’s small serving of risotto was not so much risotto as mushroom-flavored spackling paste. My other daughter’s pork and bread dumplings were tasty. In the end, the server never said a word about the mix-up, never mind apologizing for it. And the bartender could have done a much better job setting things right if he’d asked me what other dish I might want to replace the pork roll, or ACTUALLY comped something, like our drinks. As we walked out, he offered to “get us in for free” if we came to the concert/Oktoberfest event they were sponsoring the next day. Needless to say, we declined.

While I have gone to gca for shows, regrettably, I hadn’t tried Judd’s. Luckily, I had the opportunity to try the cuisine and cocktail offerings during the Czechtoberfest.

Judd’s is a wonderful dining experience in a beautiful old brick paper mill. Every meal was fabulous comfort food prepared perfectly and beautifully presented. Try the short rib! The cocktails were creative and delicious. We tried (and finished) all of the desserts – especially loved the Chocolate Pot de Crème! The service was prompt and attentive and super friendly. We’ll be back very soon!
